Your best email ideas won’t come from brainstorming.

They’ll come from pattern recognition.

See enough examples and the angle becomes obvious.

That’s why I always start with research.

If you want to get better at email marketing, use this simple process:

Start by choosing the goal of your email.
Are you trying to sell something, educate, build trust, bring someone back, launch a product, or collect data?

Then study 5–10 emails that were created for that same goal.

As you read them, look for patterns:

• the angle they use to hook the reader
• how the email is structured from top to bottom
• how they transition into the offer
• how they present the CTA
• where it fits in the customer journey

When you start seeing the same approaches appear across brands, that is your signal those techniques work.

Combine the best pieces.
Remove what doesn’t fit.
Build your own version.

We built a searchable library of real ecommerce emails to make this process much easier:

They’re rushed.

Spend 5 minutes studying real examples before you write.

Your output will improve immediately.
