DJ Biswarup – Blending Heritage with Modern Beats
Biswarup Ghoshal, known as DJ Biswarup, is a genre-bending artist based in Almere, Netherlands, with roots in Karidhya, West Bengal, India. Raised in a musical family, he began with the Tabla and mouth organ before mastering the Indian Classical Flute under Pandit Sudip Chattopadhyay. After moving to the Netherlands for a career in computer engineering, he rediscovered music through the European club scene, blending Techno with Afro, Arabic, and Indian classical influences. Formally trained in DJing, he also earned a Diploma in Music Production from the Dutch Dance and Music Academy. His track “Tabu, ARTBAT with Hansadhwani” gained traction on SoundCloud, while his releases stream on Spotify. He has performed and organized events across the Netherlands and hosts a growing weekly podcast. Living in Almere with his wife and two daughters, DJ Biswarup continues to create soundscapes where tradition meets modernity.
