Jakob Sporrenberg (1902–1951)
From 16 August 1943 to 25 November 1944, Sporrenberg served in a position in which he supervised and carried out the mass shooting of Jewish forced laborers.
At the end of the war in Europe in May 1945, Sporrenberg and his staff were captured by British forces. Their interrogation shed considerable light on Globocnik’s activities in Lublin.
Sporrenberg is the alleged source for Prawda o Wunderwaffe (“The Truth About the Wunderwaffe”) and the story of Die Glocke. He may have invented this story in an attempt to avoid the death penalty.

Hun verhoor wierp veel licht op Globočniks activiteiten in Lubli Sporrenberg is de vermeende bron voor Prawda o Wunderwaffe (De Waarheid over de Wunderwaffe) DiE Glocke dit heeft hij mogelijk verzonnen om de doodstraf te ontlopen

THE SS-PANZER-DIVISION “DAS REICH” FOUGHT ON THE EASTERN FRONT DURING THE BATTLE OF KURSK, WHICH TOOK PLACE FROM 5 JULY TO 23 AUGUST 1943. THIS VIDEO PRESENTS RARE, RAW FILM FOOTAGE RECORDED AT THE TIME BY GERMAN PROPAGANDA CAMERA UNITS. THE IMAGES SHOW COMBAT SITUATIONS FROM THIS PERIOD. DURING THE BATTLE OF KURSK, AN ESTIMATED 54,000 GERMAN SOLDIERS WERE KILLED, WHILE MORE THAN 177,000 SOVIET SOLDIERS LOST THEIR LIVES. THE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS WERE PRODUCED FOR PROPAGANDA PURPOSES AND THEREFORE DO NOT PROVIDE A COMPLETE OR OBJECTIVE REPRESENTATION OF THE EVENTS.

Binnenkort wordt het NSB‑filmarchief opnieuw geopend, met daarin een propagandavideo waarin de NSB probeert de Nederlandse bevolking te overtuigen om samen te werken met de Duitse bezetter. De film wekt sterk de indruk dat veel Nederlanders bereid waren met de Duitsers mee te gaan, terwijl in werkelijkheid die poging vrijwel volledig is mislukt.
