Analysis of a few of my favorite anime and psychological discussion over the little things, plus whatever else I feel like posting.

I know I haven’t posted in a while—and that’s a separate topic for a different day—but let me get this off my chest, other wise it’s gonna burn a hole straight through.

The finale of Sound! Euphonium has left me speechless and with tears forcing their way out my eyes. Never before have I found a story that is so beautiful, so painful, and so human. Kumiko’s growth from an adorable and clumsy floof, to a strong and poignantly relatable character (who is still clumsy) has made for a wonderful anime to watch over the last decade. Even all the way back with season one and two, I knew there was something special about this show, but witnessing it come to an end like this was just perfect to me, for lack of a better word. To those reading this, it should go without saying that I recommend this show with a full heart.

Adding my tiny voice to the many, many others: Thank you, KyoAni. I couldn’t help during your hardest time of crisis, yet here you are, helping me in one of mine. Thank you, Ayano Takeda, for originally bringing this story to life. And thank you to all the amazing individuals who helped to produce this anime. I can’t express how grateful I am to have been able to watch Sound! Euphonium.

I will never forget how warm it sounds.

(If I find the time, I’d love to write another 45 minute ramble about this show.)

tldr - the Sora Yori (A Place Further than the Universe) Reflection was copyright claimed and is now blocked in several countries. my mistake, I will return to the show in the future so that this issue isn’t repeated

My main goal for this channel is to create safe, open discussions over the anime and manga we love as a community. Needless to say, I am more than a little upset to learn that a video is no longer available worldwide. Not upset with the claim or those behind it, but with the outcome and a bit with myself.

Moving forward, I can’t guarantee that I won’t run into this issue again. I’m just an idiot doing these videos as a passion project, after all. But I can promise a couple of things: 1) I will return to Sora Yori again, and 2) I am looking for ways to minimize the risk of these issues.

Sorry for the rambling post. All things considered, this probably isn’t that big of an issue, but I wanted to address it, especially for any viewer who can no longer see that video.

Thanks for understanding, and take care. Lots of stuff still in the works.

aight yall, one last update before the next reflection is posted

Everything's ready except for one thing: the background music. Turns out, Sound of the Sky's OST is harder to get ahold of and work with than I originally thought, so I'm having to resort to other music.

The only reasons I deem it necessary to make a post like this is because:
1) I wrote the script and edited the video with hopes of lining up key musical highs of the show's OST. That option is no longer available, and I am instead using other background music to fill in the holes.
2) I believe that this new version of the video has noticeably out of place music. While I tried to keep it thematically similar, the pieces just don't line up with the script as intended, and it's jarring.

I still want to post the video regardless, because although the background music was a big factor in the video's development, it was never meant to be the highlight. The whole point of these videos is discussion of a show's themes and its connections to human life. In that sense, I am eager to publish this piece, because I am excited to see the response to this new style of reflection.

Hope you understand, and thanks a bunch if you read this post.

Here's the thumbnail I'll probably use:
