Just a heads-up for you guys. The personal struggles I've been going through seem like they are calming down. I'm hoping to start production (or rather continue) this weekend/week. My troubles are not over, far from it, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Dare I say, the morning sun may soon vanquish the horrible night.

Hey guys, sorry I've been quiet on here for a bit. There are videos in the works, but things have slowed a lot due to some real life issues and some side work I picked up. This month, I'm really wanting to get out a video about Cloud and his sexuality in honor of Pride Month. There are some interesting observations I feel only somebody in my position could make about him. Sadly, life continues to be difficult, and my production schedule has suffered because of it.

Times are rough right now. I spoke about it in my last channel update video, but I wanted to give a little insight as to what is going on, and how it is getting worse. You see, I'm having some family issues. It involves dealing with an unstable living arrangement for a family member, and the selling of their home. Adding to the legal hurdles involved with things are a series of ever-growing and disruptive events that require immediate attention. I can only put out so many fires at a time.

My supporters are aware of my situation a bit more, but I wanted to share this with all of you in my community, regardless if you pledged to my Patreon, have joined the channel, or are just a subscriber who likes my video. Whoever you are, thank you for reading this, and know that I will return to regular videos when I am able.

Let me start by saying, I'll be making a more extensive video about this that provides evidence of this discovery back in August of 2023.

Recently, others have noticed that the dragons in TotK / BotW have triangle scales on their bodies that may indicate the Triforce. I intended to make a video about this sooner but didn't want to kill the momentum of the game in the community or my channel, I was receiving some actual growth at the time and didn't want to poke the algorithm and disrupt what was happening. I also had not yet put all the pieces together involving the Hojo clan.

Basically what this comes down to is that the Triforce may be embedded or part of the Three Dragons. It may even be that it is the thing that turned them into dragons in the first place, something similar to the Secret Stones. This would explain the symbolism we see throughout the kingdom and the apparent absence of the relic in the world.

I was originally tipped off to this by user ‪@Lore-dOfTheMountain-kr8ex‬, who is a bit more active on Discord in the communities I visit, notably ‪@theloruleanhistorian‬'s old server that unfortunately got nuked. I've been reluctant to talk about it more or bring it up in the community because it could be the smoking gun that shows BotW/TotK are its own continuity. While some of you think I might be all for such a discovery, I actually don't want to drag the community down that hole unless I have something solid to back it... though let's face it, people here are excellent at closing their eyes and plugging their ears against anything that steps on their worldview, including those wrapped up in Zelda Lore. Even myself at times. I digress...

Those who have been in the community for a long time likely know that the Triforce Symbol is related to the Hojo Clan in Japan. ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C5%8Dj%C5%8D_clan ) They had a lot of political power and the legends go that they were blessed by three dragons (or maybe fish?) that gave them scales. Those scales would make up their crest in the familiar formation we all know. It could easily be that if BotW/TotK are attempting to reboot or "reimagine" the series, the inclusion of these scales and lack of any history or mention of the Triforce is meant to be a new foundation. This would also mean that Zelda accessing the power of the Dragons after praying at the three shrines is a symbol of using their power, the power of that blessing, to annihilate evil.

The real-world connections don't stop there. The Map of BotW and TotK is heavily inspired by Kyoto Japan. The names of the TotK Shrines are anagrams of locations around Kyoto that roughly line up with those real-world locations. Here is the map if you want to go for a virtual stroll.

I believe that BotW & TotK are a reboot of the series, that the creators simply didn't want to deal with the messy continuity of the timeline they had built. I believe Skyward Sword was an attempt to wrap up the past continuity by making a definitive start to it, so then they could move on to something new. I believe the pressure from the fans and orders from higher up prevented them from saying it is a reboot because of fear it would hurt the franchise. I also believe that claiming the new games were long after the end of all timelines was an attempt to hide this, to give them enough plausible deniability while giving them the freedom to basically write whatever they want.

When TotK was coming up on launch, I thought BotW & TotK were a splinter from Skyward Sword based on the ending and placement of the Master Sword in a new location. However, with TotK refusing to embrace even Skyward Sword solidly, and giving alternate explanations for some of the connections made in BotW, I now believe that both games are solidly a Reboot.

In just about 12 hours, PIxel Perspectives 01 will premiere. It's my first real attempt to diversify the channel into something other than Zelda. I'm choosing Final Fantasy 7 first because I have a lot to say about it. At a minimum, I want to talk about the Shinra Villains a bit, and talk about some interesting things in its world, its mythos, and so forth. I hope you all will join me.

Starting things off will be Seven FF7 Rebirth Mysteries. One of them is about the Mythos of the card game and how it relates to the overworld world we see.

Today is the Anniversary of Tears of the Kingdom. I have a lot of feelings about the game, ranging from joy to disappointment. Ultimately I love the game, as I do most Zelda games, but I also see how much more it could have been.

Today I am putting out a compilation video of my past TotK Mysteries. There are a total of 42 of them, and the video is almost 2 hours long, perfect to listen to in the background. Also, you can tell the difference between my voice and the recording in the earlier ones. I feel I've come a long way with that, and I have some good buddies in the Zelda Community for helping me with that.

With this video "Let's Talk About #74" done, I'll be shifting into a new show I'm calling "Pixel Perspective", which has a new overhaul of graphics to it. This Friday, I'll be putting out my first FF7 video using them, so stay tuned.

This upcoming video is going to be about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I'm not abandoning Zelda, but I want to take a break from it, I've been posting consistent TotK content for almost a year now, and I'm rather eager to talk about some FF7 Stuff. I won't be going into really crazy stuff like trying to say... calculate the power consumption of Midgar... but I do want to at least talk about the mysteries of the game and where Rebirth is going in the future.

As you can imagine, my plethora of Zelda footage isn't useful for making Final Fantasy videos. This weekend, I'm basically going to be gathering footage for this upcoming video, so forgive me if it isn't coming out on the weekly cycle I've been aiming to hit. Here is a nice picture of something I've made for it, though.

As for the video topic itself... I've managed to calculate the weight, the actual weight, of the Sky Lomei Labyrinth. There is a lot of math in this one which is why it took so long.
