Perspective matters.

Still here kicking, rounding the 3K round mark on .223 testing. We will end up at 6-7K by the time we are done diagnosing the issues around this cartridge, specifically; to help those save time at the reloading bench to see what really makes a difference down range.

Some insane things coming in the next couple of months, stay tuned.

Currently working on a project during the weekends in regards to shot pressure.

One trend we notice is that virgin cases typically exhibit 30-60 FPS slower than cases that have been fired already and provide better fit in the chamber (not pictured here).

Currently, we are exploring more of the “what, why’s, and how’s” of this with @alpha_munitions.

The current data set has around 300 rounds, with another 200 ready to be fired analyzing a magnitude of different dimensions and hardness data.

This was some of the results from beginning the baseline for the testing. 196 rounds, yielding a 8.1 SD combined. 7x10 groups averaging in the .49’s with RAD Method. No load development. Loading exactly where one needs to based off interior ballistic principles. Shot mod prone at 100 yards.

Video to follow and data dump to follow the research.

@proofresearch competition contour 1/7T steel.

@alpha_munitions 6GT SRP brass.

🎯Four-20 round groups from one our students with the RAD load development method. .223 bolt gun using 77 SMK’s & 80 SMK’s.

❌No seating depth testing, no velocity node finding, using the foundations of internal ballistics that weve been teaching over the years to load exactly where you need too. Completely cutting out the multiple range trips and constant tinkering, saving you money, and getting right to the results.
