📅January-June 2026 (Q1 + Q2)

👾Arcade Games

Islands with simple mechanics, quick rounds, score/time-based.

🌍Open World Maps

Islands that let players freely explore vast environments and complete objectives or activities through non-linear exploration.

🎥Live Event / Cinematic Shooters

Live event in an environment that pushes the boundaries of UEFN.

Fight scenes caught with camera devices that create cinematic shots.

🤔Social Deduction / Social Survival

⚔️Action RPG Maps

Islands that offer unique quests, with progression systems, action-driven class systems, and compelling narrative.

⚙️Featured Device(s)

Devices that push the limits of what Scene Graph can do!

Islands that use tools like Bubble Chat, the Disguise device, the Voting Group device, the Voting Options device, and the Multiplayer Skilled Interaction device to build innovative experiences.

Like the last 6 months, islands with these themes will be prioritised over others! There are new attribution rules for Epic's Picks, meaning you MUST attribute everything/say in attributions section that you own everything.

Also, does anyone else think the scheduling for this is a bit off? Not sure why not include Q3 2026 isn't in the schedule.

CHAPTER 7 IS HERE (almost)

What did you think of all the event overall?

I would give a good 8.9/10, I thought the action was very good, and it was fun going through all the realities and charging with the army was very fun. But there have been better events in the past imo, kind of wished it was longer. Other than that, pretty great chapter finale event!

Also, there's a ton of stuff in UEFN that has been added, but I'll do a video that covers all the new stuff + discover changes + roadmap as one big video probably out tomorrow (the 30th) rather than around when downtime ends!

If anyone missed it, Epic has delayed In-Island Transactions from December 2025 to January 9th 2026. + New Roadmap stuff!

Epic have also announced that "we're extending the period that developers will earn 100% of V-bucks value from in-island transactions through January 31, 2027." So, probably just to account for the time they delayed its release.

This is either good or bad news, depending on your opinions on in-island transactions. But it's definitely going to be felt as creators are going to miss the holiday season.

ANYWAYS, the roadmap also got updated, here are some notable things, some REALLY cool scene graph stuff coming next year (Devices in Scene Graph finally), and CROSS ISLAND PERSISTENCE (weak_maps).

UPDATE: I was going to do a sponsored row/discover video like yesterday, but I got a little bit side-tracked,

I'm doing 2 different sponsored row campaigns, one with an above-average CPM bid, and another with close to the minimum bid. I'm doing a bit of testing over a week or two, which is why it's taking a little bit. So sorry, but it should be out after chapter 7 comes out, because I want to see what someone with a low bid amount has a chance at around a new chapter release and whether it's worth it, may be or may not be, that's what I want to find out!

I might do a video just on Discover changes before chapter 7, then a separate sponsored row video after. We shall see.
