Real riding. Honest reviews. Thoughtful conversations on two wheels.
I ride to understand the craft. I film to share what I learn. Kiwimoto72 is about real-world riding; city streets, mountain passes, long tours, track days, and everything in between. I test bikes the way riders actually use them and explain the tech in plain, honest language.
No hype. Just clarity. My work is shaped by over 30 years of riding and a deep interest in how people learn complex skills. I talk with top riders, racers, and coaches on the Kiwimoto72 Podcast, exploring the habits that keep riders safe—and the simple mistakes that cause crashes. Those lessons show up in every review, tutorial, and interview. I speak to riders who want to improve, not impress.
I live and ride year-round in the Pacific Northwest, and I created Kiwimoto72 as a space for riders who want to think, learn, and ride with intent. If that sounds like you, welcome.

“The most important thing is to have fun on the bike. Without fun, you cannot be fast." — Valentino Rossi
Rossi said this for a reason. Tension makes you slow. White knuckles, locked shoulders, eyes that stop scanning — all of that comes from trying too hard. The fast riders ride loose. They smile inside the helmet. They have fun.
If you've been chasing pace and not finding it, the answer probably isn't more focus. It's less.
What's the last ride that reminded you why you started?

If a bike scares you, you’re not ready for it.
If a bike never scares you, you’ve stopped paying attention.
Quote 2 of 12 in the new series. This one’s mine. Earned over 35 years and 80 bikes.
Confidence on a motorcycle is a tightrope. Lean too far one way and you crash because you’re scared. Lean too far the other way and you crash because you stopped respecting what you’re riding. The good riders I know live in the narrow space between those two states.
What was the last bike that demanded your full attention?
