Livestream Horror vs. Screenlife Horror

We're hoping to get some feedback from KBZ subscribers on a horror theme and subgenre we're debating internally. We were planning an article and video for Screenlife Horror films and those are films where most of the plot (and horror) occurs on a computer screen and usually involves a videoconference (i.e. Zoom). Unfriended (2015) and Host (2020) are two popular examples of this format.

However, while compiling the films for our list, we also noticed quite a few "Livestream" horror films fall in between the Found Footage Horror format and Screenlife Format. Livestream Horror isn't really 'found footage' given it's interactive and some films that use this format to great effect are the Cleansing Hour (2020), Deadstream (2022) and #ChadGetsTheAxe (2022).

So our question in the poll below is simple - should we create two separate articles and videos for these distinct horror formats?

The 25 Creepiest Scenes from 2020s Horror Video - Update

Hi everyone...unfortunately our latest video was blocked globally by a copyright holder who had previously allowed us to use a clip from their film. So, that's why the 25 Creepiest Scenes from 2020s Horror video is not currently showing on our channel.

We've contacted the copyright owner to get clarification on why the exact same clip was approved for a previous video but denied for this one...but we're not holding our breath expecting a response. The entire YouTube copyright process is a hot mess right now and completely broken.

Anyway, if we do not hear anything back by this Tuesday, 10/21, we'll upload an edited version of the video with any blocked clips removed. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Happy Saturday KBZ Subscribers! We're posting a few items including an update to our schedule and some answers to some FAQ's from comments on our videos.

First off, thank you to everyone for 10,000 subscribers! This means a lot to us and keeps us going...we really appreciate all the support.

Second, our upcoming and revised schedule is as follows:

10/17 - 25 Creepiest Scenes from 2020s Horror (2020 - 2024)
10/24 - Best Films About Alien Abductions
10/29 - Best Recent Horror Films for Halloween 2025
11/7 - Best 1970s Sex Comedies
11/14 - Best Films About Auto Racing
11/21 - 25 Creepiest Scenes from 1960s Horror Films

And finally for three of the most common questions we get in the comments of our videos:

Q. Why didn't you feature X film?
A. More often than not, we can't get copyright approval to show a clip from a certain film. We usually address any films we couldn't get approval for in the pinned comment on each video.

Q. Where is a list of the films shown in the compilation video?
A. The title of each film is always in the lower left corner of the movie clip and we also have a list of all the films in the video (in order) in the video description.

Q. How can I support KBZ?
A. We don't run ads on our videos so you can support KBZ by clicking on any of the links we provide (in the video description) to rent/stream/buy a film listed in the video. We only get a small commission from Amazon but every little bit helps. Also sharing or liking the video itself also helps get more exposure for both the video and our channel.

Thank you again for all of your support and we always welcome any requests for future film themes we can post on our channel!

Hi everyone! Just a quick update. We were originally trying to get our Creepiest Scenes from Asian Horror video up last week but ran into quite a few issues getting copyright approvals. There's still a few pending approvals so we likely won't launch this video until the second week of August now.

But, because of that delay, we have moved forward our second videos for 70s and 80s creepy horror and the 25 More Creepy Scenes from 1970s horror will launch later today and the 80s video later this month.

Thanks again for everyone's support of our channel!

The Scariest Horror Films (According to Science). We came across this interesting infographic about a scientific study that measured the resting and elevated heart rate of people as they watched horror films. Unsurprisingly, Sinister, The Conjuring, Insidious and Hereditary topped the list and you can see the creepiest scenes from these horror films and others in our upcoming video for The 25 Creepiest Scenes from 2010s Horror Films that we're planning to drop this Friday, June 6th.

As for the study, it's worth checking out and you can read the article and the rest of infographic here - www.forbes.com/sites/travisbean/2020/10/17/what-is…. Our only question for the study is how is The Exorcist not #1?!?
