Facebook friends, if you're being tempted to sin, then you need to submit yourself to God, cry out to Him for help, take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and resist in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stand firm in holiness! Look for the way out! It's there every time! Victory is always possible!
Also, don't fall for any of these lies/schemes of the enemy, when you're being tempted to sin:
-It's no big deal
-Just one more time
-No one will ever know
-This will just be my little secret
-I'll just ask for forgiveness afterwards
-God understands
-Everyone else is doing it
If you're even considering sinning due to any of the above thoughts, then you're being deceived! Flee from sin! Your eternal life depends on it!

Ephesians 4:28 - "Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need."
Such is the essence of "repentance." A sinner stops his/her sin (whatever that may be) and replaces it with righteousness. Paul expected the Ephesians to stop their stealing...in fact since "stole" is in the past tense, he expected that they already had stopped it. AND he expected them to continue down this path. He had no expectations that they would "eventually steal again."
Also, Paul is NOT saying that the Ephesians can stop stealing and keep on doing other sins (drunkenness, lying, covetousness, fornication, idolatry, etc.). On the contrary, what Paul says in Ephesians 4:28, applies universally across the board. You could "fill in the blank" with any sin you like. He could've said the same thing about any and all sin and it would be no less true.
ALL and ANY sin should be in the past for EVERY Christian. This is what Christianity is - a life of RIGHTEOUSNESS. A life of good works. A life lived for God instead of the devil. A life of freedom from sin, not slavery to sin. Thank you Jesus, for setting me free!

Sinners think that freedom is the ability to do whatever they want to do. The Bible describes true freedom much differently. True freedom is freedom from sin. True freedom is submitting your God given free will to God and becoming a servant of righteousness! John 8:31-36, Romans 6:16-22

After Gideon's victory, this is what was said:
"Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, 'Rule over us, both you and your son, and your grandson also; for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian.' But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.” (Judges 8:22–23)
Why are men so quick to have other men rule over them and not have God rule over them? God is definitely the more just, honest, loving, patient and kind ruler! 🙌
