Youtube has sent creators an e-mail stating they now can monetize videos even when an account isn't enrolled in the partner program (which is the case for this channel). I have never made and will never make any money off of these videos, because the content is not originally mine, even if the translation is. The intention of this channel was always to be ad free.
Unfortunately, it seems youtube doesn't care about what I want, so you might see ads appearing in my videos regardless. If you see ads, please know I did not put them there and am not making a single cent off of them. I cannot change my ad settings because I'm not enrolled in the partner program, this is just youtube unilaterally forcing its policy on channels. I hope this post helps clarify that.
Also for those wondering, this channel is pretty much dead for the foreseeable future. I no longer have the patience to subtitle hololive videos due to how many people doing it already exist. I'm sure you won't run out of content because of me.
If I ever subtitle anything again it will likely be other vtubers who actually could use some exposure.
