Listen when your garden speaks! Always research the ‘weeds’ that show up in your garden. This Yellow Sweet Clover (weed?) that popped up is telling me this garden bed is in need of nitrogen. Along the edge of this bed I have new green bean plants growing, which do add nitrogen to the soil so that will help some but I added some fertilizer to give it a fix of nitrogen for the other seedlings emerging. A natural soil ‘test’!

I’ve always believed that the Most High gives you gifts sometimes in your garden. As I was weeding the garden I came across this rosette-like ‘weed’ and it was so beautiful that I decided to look it up instead of pulling it. Turns out, it’s Evening Primrose, an amazing medicinal herb that my body actually needs right now. It hasn’t been on my radar recently but I’m guessing my father is saying it needs to be. I’m letting it grow and I think I will try to grow more. Pay attention when the Father speaks to you! All Praises to the Most High ❤️

My homemade vanilla extract has officially been ‘steeping’ for 6 months today 1/22/25. Technically it can be used now but the longer it brews, the flavor gets that much better. Since I still have a decent amount of vanilla extract left, this will get to sit for a while longer. It’s steeping in spiced rum and it smells AMAZING!!
