Bonjour! I'm Sophie Nadeau, content creator, presenter, and travel writer.
I've been a full-time travel writer for the past ten years, and have spent my adult life living between Paris and London. In 2023 my partner and I decided to combine our love of travel with a passion for making videos and thus began our weekly videos here on YouTube.

The Loire is a fascinating French region famous for its endless gardens, abundance of regal châteaux, and countless vineyards. In the video we spend 4 days exploring the region, including meeting a local winemaker, visiting the largest abbey in Europe, and visiting some of the most famous châteaux. Here were some highlights of our time in the region:
🏰 Exploring the stunning town of Montrésor, famed for its fortified castle and listed amongst the most beautiful villages of France.
🇫🇷 Strolling around Fontevraud Abbey, the largest abbey in Europe.
⚜️ Discovering the medieval heart of Chinon, including a spot where Joan of Arc once mounted her horse!
🏰 The beauty of Amboise, a castle fit for a king on the banks of the River Loire.
🇫🇷 A visit to beautiful Chambord, the biggest château in the Loire Valley, originally intended to serve as a royal hunting lodge.
⚜️ A wander around Chédigny, a delightful 'garden' village that's a bit of a hidden gem of the region.
🏰 Uncovering Loches, charming medieval town famed for its imposing hilltop royal château, winding cobbled streets, and centuries of history.
🇫🇷 A trip to the château at Chenonceau, often regarded to be the most beautiful of the Loire Valley châteaux.
⚜️ Blois, one of the largest towns in the Loire and the perfect place to base yourself to explore nearby attractions.
🏰 A visit to a local vineyard, where we learned more about local wine appellations and met with a winemaker.

Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued support and all of your messages, emails, and comments! We try and reply to as many as we can and read all of them. :)
In 2024 we taught ourselves how to make and produce videos and I'm excited to see what 2025 brings. Some of my favourite videos of the year included The Cotswolds, Puglia, Mount Fuji, and the Isles of Scilly. We're currently exploring several islands in the Caribbean and I can't wait to share several videos about them later this year.
