Sup everyone. Figured I would chime in since it's been a few weeks. I would like to say that my short absence has nothing to do with the current events over here in America and the lack of videos is purely due to some unfortunate scheduling and timing. Had a video done but just can't upload it yet, but whenever it does go live it's probably going to be very poorly timed lol.
Either way, reality is kinda settling in that this hobby is about to become really rough for alot of us out there, myself included. Putting all my preorders into GSC Global is about to bite me in the ass hard and I don't really see a way around that outside of closing my account or giving my preorders away to people in other countries. I probably wont make any rash decisions until I first get hit with all these extra fees on one of my orders so for now it really is a waiting game.
Still, all this has left me a bit unsure of how to proceed on Youtube. It feels a little dishonest to carry on like nothing is happening, and tbh it's really hard to get into the right mindset to record videos like the preorder roundups knowing that myself and a portion of my audience are probably just going to stop ordering figures all together for the time being. Today I recorded about half of an episode, and I'll probably continue it to completion tomorrow, but afterwards I just can't make any promises.
I will never quit this hobby, and I'm ok with slowing down(I would gladly cancel most of my GSC preorders if I could as well), but it does make me sad to think about just bringing my channel to a halt as I will eventually run out of things to talk about. It's a very uncertain time right now, and I still plan to make videos for at least a little while longer. Maybe I'll make a video about this whole situation, but releasing a video about this stuff and then the video I already made would be some very strange whiplash. If you're on the Patreon you likely know what I'm talking about, but yeah hopefully that video gets out soon and I'll aim to complete the march roundup soon as well. Thanks for readin all this
While we knew this was coming, I gotta admit it was a bit of a surprise to find out the Kotobukiya US store is going to be opening up tomorrow. Very curious on how figures will be priced in comparison to importing them, but at the very least those living in the United States now have a new way to order their figures while receiving the bonus items/faceplates
If pricing is comparable to where I typically buy from, I will likely be ordering Hsien Ko from here to try out the new store. The timing is extremely convenient for me now that I think about it lol

How's it going everyone. A few updates for ya since a lots going on lately.
1. The giveaway is still open if you're interested. I'll likely close submissions sometime next week(around the 15th most likely) so be sure to enter before then. I recently received the figures in the mail and everything seemed to arrive safe so now I just gotta make the unboxing video.
2. As stated in my best of 2024 video, I'll be doing a livestream where we hang out and talk about all your responses. If you would like to join that, it'll be tonight at around 5pm EST. Unlike the last stream, you'll be able to find it later on my channel. I had to unlist the last one because it had an insane amount of copyright issues due to music.
3. I've been struggling to find the time to record the preorder roundup for December. With life being a bit busier, neighbors being noisier, and the videos becoming a marathon to record and edit, I clearly need to reevaluate how I approach this series. Perhaps it's time to go weekly so the videos are shorter, or only focus on what I really want to talk about, but I've also been toying with the idea of doing another stream where we just talk about everything from December that I never got a chance to. Wouldnt want that to be the norm, but maybe every once in a while since it'll save me alot of time. Either way I'll be sure to let you know what ends up happening

If you follow my Twitch account you might periodically see a stream pop up but I was wondering where you guys would prefer my streams to be hosted on. I know you can host streams on both sites simultaneously but currently I'm unsure if my current setup can handle that, so we'll worry about it another time. Regardless of platform the streams would be a mix of videogames and figure related topics
Anyone get any cool anime figures for Black Friday? Somehow I found literally nothing for me that I really needed, but hey a new keyboard and some cool etsy figures/plush are heading my way so thats neat. Maybe for the best since I keep buying stuff I need for the house + went to a wedding which was expensive
Planning to do a figure haul soon on Youtube. Or a figure review. Maybe the latter cause it'll be faster but regardless I got a ton of stuff to unbox for you guys in the near future
