4th December 2025.
The day my life changed forever.
I walked into the hospital that morning feeling nervous because something felt off.
The strange part?
I was otherwise completely asymptomatic. In fact, I was supposed to run a marathon the very next day. We decided to get checked just to be safe.
A few hours and several scans later, the doctors confirmed it.
I had cancer.
Stage 3 cancer.
They estimated it had been growing inside me for at least 18 months.
I remember sitting there in complete disbelief.
How could someone who was preparing for a marathon be diagnosed with cancer?
How could someone who felt so healthy be seriously ill?
But cancer doesn't care how strong you are, how disciplined you are, or what plans you have for tomorrow.
It simply arrives.
What I didn't realize then was that the years I had invested in my health would become some of my greatest assets in the battle ahead.
Today, six months, three surgeries, and three cycles of chemotherapy later, I look back with a completely different perspective.
We spend so much of our lives worrying about goals, deadlines, growth, competition, and the fear of being left behind.
Before my diagnosis, I had countless ambitions and worries.
After my diagnosis, I had only one goal:
Get healthy again.
The experience reminded me of what truly matters:
• Our health
• Time with the people we love
• The simple ability to move, work, play, and express ourselves through our bodies
These are gifts we often don't appreciate until they're challenged.
As I write this today, I have some good news.
As of 'today' , I have officially been promoted to Cancer-Free.
The next chapter has begun.
I don't know exactly what it looks like yet.
But I do know that this experience has changed me forever, and I hope to use it to educate, inspire, and create impact wherever I can.
If there's one thing I'd leave you with, it's this:
Your health is not separate from your ambitions, it is the foundation that makes them possible.
Take care of it.
Because today, more than anything else, I am grateful simply to have my health back.
