[ TRIP X RINGPAW ONE YET ITS WHOLESOME ]




Trip's POV:

Trip held bright red roses in her jaws as she padded back to the tunnels. *I'm sure Ringpaw will love it!* As soon as Trip entered the tunnel, she tripped. Loud laughter sounded from in front of Trip, even though Trip's eyes were closed, she knows who that it.
"Swift, shut your maw..." Mumbled Trip, lifting herself. "But it's funny! Your name is Trip and you tripped!" Wheezed Swift, giving his chest a lick.
Suddenly, a lean figure shoved Swift aside. "Want some help, Trip?" Asked a the she-cat, lifting Trip to her paws. "Thanks Amber," Trip thanked the she-cat. Trip grabbed the roses she got, and smiled.
Before any cat could ask anything else, Trip dashed into her own tunnel. *Please, let Ringpaw be there!*
Ringpaw was curled up in her moss bed, looking at the ground. Trip smiled, tapping her tail on the ground to tell Ringpaw she was there. Ringpaw quickly snapped back into reality, "huh?"
Trip carefully placed down her roses, "I-I brought you some flowers!" Smiled Trip, nudging them to Ringpaw.
Ringpaw's blank expression didn't change, she just nodded. *Maybe I need to say something!* Quickly, Trip started to start up a conversation.
"So...Do you like roses? I wasn't sure which one you wanted so I picked the pretty ones and-" Trip's conversation starter was cut off by the sigh Ringpaw gave.
"Trip..." Ringpaw began, staring up at Trip.
"You know..." Mumbled Ringpaw again. That's when Ringpaw cleared her throat.


"I'm never really going to love you back..."


The truth stung Trip like claws ranking along her back, but she nodded. "I know," Trip smiled, trying to keep herself from wailing. Awkward silence filled the air as Trip braced herself for more questions.
"Then, why do you hang out with me...Like this?" Asked Ringpaw, lifting herself to sit.
Trip paused, shuffling her paws.

"Well, cause it's you." Trip smiled warmly as she answered the question. *And I will always love you, Ringpaw...*
