NEW VIDEO UP NOW!

I took an old song of mine called Lying In Wait— a story about a child gone missing— and produced it like an Agnes Obel track. That is to say: plucked strings; felt pianos; vocal effects & layering and even some of our home recorded glass sounds (yes, I put water in a wine glass and did that thing where you make it sing!).

It ended up sounding like a Coraline soundtrack too. I really hope you enjoy this one <3

❄️🌧️ In my next video I will be sharing the process of how I produce this song. It's called Lying In Wait— a haunting song about a prank gone wrong. Some reference artists include Agnes Obel, Tori Amos & AURORA. 🌧️❄️

Currently the song is in the mixing phase and all the video is shot. So as soon as the mix is done I'm on to editing baby!

I am noticeably speeding up my workflow which I am very pleased about— however, these videos remain time consuming. I am keeping to a schedule of a video every fourth Saturday. I hope this is agreeable to you (:

Happy 2026 everyone! How have you been?
Next week (Saturday Feb 28th, 17:00 PM Amsterdam time) I have a new video for you. Finally! I will be producing a new original song and outlining my plan... to make my first album!

It's my way of trying to become consistent here on Youtube. Of course, the videos I make are time consuming (labours of love), but I am teaching myself how to work smarter.

The first step I took: I got a more powerful computer! You won't believe how happy this has made me. Recording screen & audio while songwriting? No problem! Editing 4K video in Davinci Resolve without lag? What a dream!

I can already feel the resistance to recording my songwriting process melting away. They say it's not the tools that make the artist, but poopyschmoop if it doesn't help!

Hope to see you next week, when we make "The Narrator" together 😊

I've spent about two weeks editing this video on writing inspired melody and lyrics— it only taking that long because my computer is not as powerful as I'd like it to be 😅
Nevertheless, it will be out tomorrow (Sunday October 19th, 19:00 PM Amsterdam time).

The song is a slow build, it meanders weirdly. That's why I'd say it's experimental. But it's also cathartic.
