Hi, I’m Semide!
I’ve been creating ASMR videos since 2019 and I am one of the early creators in the Real Person ASMR genre! I make real person massage and medical ASMR sessions with friends, family, and fellow asmrtists.
My videos blend modern medicine with traditional healing practices, including botanical medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and shamanic healing. My background is in naturopathic medicine, and I’m now continuing my journey by training as a Shaman, walking in the footsteps of a long lineage of Shamans in my family.
Thank you so much for being here. I hope my content helps you soften, relax, and heal. 🧡🙏🏼

Hello Dear Ones!
We have something exciting to share this week.
As you may have heard, in addition to my regular uploads here on YouTube, Seth and I have decided to start an additional Youtube channel that features monthly videos of just him and I. While Seth's creativity has opened up many new ideas for my ASMR work, we understand that there also has been value in keeping my main channel mostly free of male models.
Because of this, from now ASMR videos of Seth and I will happen exclusively on our new public Youtube channel here: @SemideandSethASMR
It will help us out tremendously if you could like and subscribe to this new channel!
Love,
Semide and Seth

My bestie Julia is visiting me soon yay! Tell me what video you want us to make together! I'm under the impression that you especially love to watch us interact with each other, like in medical exam style videos. Let me know in the comments below! Personally I'd love to pamper her with a massage, but maybe we can do one of each!
Love,
Semide

Sadly I won't be able to publish a video for you tomorrow as I've been experiencing some health flare ups and need to slow down to take care of myself. I plan to be back next Sunday July 20th with a very special collab with someone you may remember from last year... can't wait to share with you!
Love,
Semide

My official ASMR comeback from maternity leave will be tomorrow (Sunday) at 4 pm EST! Subscribe to my new TikTok "semide.asmr" for a couple free sneak peeks available now. My OG model from when I started massages 5 years ago -aka my sister- is back on the channel for my first ASMR video since giving birth. I was nervous about being back in front of the camera again after 6 months of not filming, but my sister helped me feel at ease.
Also, we love my friend @chilibasmr's "pretty feelings" gemstone scratcher. It's awesome and you should really get one for yourself here: prettyfeelings.com/

Dear ones,
I’ve been reflecting deeply on the response to my last few posts, and I just want to say: it makes so much sense.
I can feel that some of you are grieving. And I want to acknowledge that grief with tenderness and respect ❤️.
Some of you have followed me joyfully into this new chapter from maiden to mother, city to countryside, student to healer. Others are feeling disappointed, confused, even hurt. I see it in the comments—some of which express sadness through frustration, or even anger unleashed towards me—and while it's so hard for me to read, I remind myself that beneath those words is grief. Change is so hard. It stirs up old wounds, especially when something or someone that once brought comfort no longer feels familiar.
Your grief stirs grief in my heart, too. As I share this picture from 5 years ago, I’m grieving the young woman I used to be, and the life I once had. I feel sadness about the shift in my channel, the shift in who shows up here, the comments from those saying goodbye… it brings up a real ache in my chest and tears from my eyes. This ending carries its own sorrow.
But in that grieving, I’ve also opened my arms to the life I now have: one rooted in motherhood, earth-based spirituality, reclaiming my ancestral traditions, and a deeper relationship with the land, my family, and myself. My content reflects that shift because I can only create from where I truly am. This is one of the most important boundaries I’m learning as I step fully into motherhood. This postpartum chapter has been immensely tender. I’m still healing from postpartum anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Holding onto myself—gently but firmly—is key to my recovery.
That said, I’ve already been filming videos that I think might bring comfort and tingles to those of you who feel nostalgic for my older work. There will still be moments of that magic, woven into what I create—but only when it feels true and safe for me.
I hope that those of you who resonate with this new chapter feel welcomed, loved, and safe here. And for those who no longer resonate with what I share: I understand. I don’t want anyone to stay here out of guilt or loyalty. You deserve to feel safe, seen, and comforted by the content you watch—especially ASMR. If my work no longer offers that for you, I hope you find creators who nourish you in the ways you need. I'm so sad to see you go, but I truly understand ❤️.
Regarding Patreon: I’m working slowly on launching it and would be so grateful to receive your support. However, only if it fully aligns with you and feels good in your heart ❤️.
With so much love,
Semide

Over 200 of you responded to yesterday’s post, and more comments keep flooding in. I’m truly blown away. While I can’t respond to each one individually, I want to say this:
I hear you. I really do.
I hear how many of you feel nostalgic for my older ASMR videos—the ones where I care for familiar faces, friends, and family in that soft, unintentional way. The medical ASMR. The object-arranging intros. And I hear how the newer content doesn’t always bring you the same tingles.
I also hear how many of you do love what I’m creating now, and feel joy in watching me evolve.
I understand, too, how brutal the algorithm can be. When I’m not uploading consistently, views tank. And even when I do, they still might—because the landscape has changed so much since 2020. There are more creators, more short-form content, and, frankly, fewer people watching long-form ASMR videos.
I also hear that some of you are stepping away from YouTube altogether because it feels overwhelming in this political and cultural climate—and I completely get that.
Here’s my piece:
I simply can’t keep making the exact same content I made in 2020—because I’m no longer that young woman.
Back then, I lived in the city. I was a student. I had close access to friends and family who could be part of my videos.
Now, I’m a mother, living in the countryside, tending to a baby all day. My life, my interests, and my spirit have changed. I’m becoming more earthy, more spiritually rooted in the natural world. And it’s okay if that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. But I can’t box myself into a past version of who I was. That’s a sure path to burnout and resentment—and I’ve seen too many creators go down that road and leave the platform altogether.
That said, I can and will sprinkle some of the old magic back in when it feels aligned.
You might see a medical roleplay, some object-arranging intros, even a few familiar faces return.
But I want to be honest: I don’t believe that doing so will suddenly fix the algorithm or dramatically boost views. I’ve tried—many times, in different ways—and was left disappointed.
I care deeply about what brings you comfort and safety. I hope I can still offer that to many of you—because it brings me joy, and I do need the income right now.
But I also love myself too much to become a machine making the same content over and over, just to please people—or the algorithm.
With so much love,
Semide
