Prayer🙏 Leadership👣 Faithfulness⚓
“Then they all joined together constantly in prayer.” Acts 1:14 (NIV)
Hey friends 👋
As we continue through Acts, I’d encourage you—follow along in your Bible and study this with me in your own time with the Lord 📖
The disciples have just watched Jesus ascend. ⬆️
He’s alive. He’s exalted 👑
And He told them to wait.
So what do they do while they wait? They pray 🙏
Verse 14: Luke says they were “constantly in prayer.” Not occasionally. Not casually. Constantly. 🔥
Before the Spirit falls in Acts 2 … before the Church begins to move … the people of God are found praying 🕊️
Waiting on God is not passive. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is stay in prayer while you wait ⏳🙏
Then the passage shifts. Peter addresses Judas — a man who walked with Jesus, yet chose another path.
Verse 18: Judas acquired a field “with the reward of his wickedness…” ⚠️
Wickedness always leads somewhere. And it never leads anywhere good.
Then in verses 21–26, the disciples move to replace him. And they don’t treat leadership lightly. They establish clear qualifications. 📋
The next apostle must be one who had “been with us the whole time” and become “a witness with us of his resurrection.” 👀✝️
Because in the kingdom of God, leadership is not about charisma! It’s about faithfulness. Not popularity. Not gifting alone.
Character.
Consistency.
Proven witness. 💪
And after identifying the candidates, they pray again. 🙏
“Lord, you know everyone’s heart.” ❤️
Even in leadership decisions, they refuse to trust appearances alone. They seek God. 🕊️
Acts 1:12–26 teaches us two things clearly: Prayer is how the Church prepares. 🙏
Faithfulness is how the Church leads. 👑
When others choose compromise — God still raises up faithful people. 🔥
So, keep praying while you wait.
And pursue the kind of character
God can trust with influence. ✝️👣

What Did Jesus Do POST-Resurrection?? 🤔
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8 (NIV)
Hey friends 👋
We’re starting something new — walking through the book of Acts together and we’re looking at what happened then and what it means for us now!
Acts picks up where Luke left off — everything Jesus began to do and teach because the work of Jesus didn’t end with the resurrection ... It continues through his people!
Verses 3–5:
Jesus didn’t just rise and disappear...
He appeared, spoke, and gave “many convincing proofs.” 👀
This is the foundation:
Jesus is alive—certain, not symbolic!
Then comes the instruction: WAIT
Not for a plan, but for the promise—the Holy Spirit. 🕊️
Before the mission begins, power is needed!
Verses 6–8:
The disciples focus on timing ⏱️
Jesus redirects them ↩️
“You will receive power…”
Not influence or status, but power—and it has a purpose:
“You will be my witnesses.” ✝️
This is what the Spirit does — He empowers ordinary people to represent Jesus clearly!
Verses 9–11:
Jesus ascends—taken up before their very sight and hidden by a cloud☁️
And then the reminder:
“This same Jesus… will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” 👑
The story doesn’t end with his ascension—it points to his return!
Jesus is alive!
The Spirit is essential🕊️
The mission is ongoing⛰️
And He is coming back!
So don’t just stand still—live on mission until He returns. ✝️🔥

He Is Risen: Prophecy Fulfilled ✝️🔥
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6 (NIV)
Hey friends 👋
The resurrection of Jesus wasn’t unexpected. It was PROMISED.
Long before the empty tom, long before the stone was rolled away, Scripture had already pointed to this moment 📜
In Psalm 16:10, David wrote: “because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.”
Isaiah spoke of a suffering servant who would give His life and yet prolong His days. ✝️
Death would come but it would not be the end.
Even Jesus Himself said it clearly that He would be killed and on the third day rise again. 📖
So when the tomb was found empty … it wasn’t confusion. It was confirmation 🔥
Every prophecy.
Every promise.
Every word spoken beforehand — fulfilled!
But the story doesn’t end at the empty tomb … Jesus didn’t just rise. He ascended ⬆️
Scripture tells us He was taken up into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God. 👑
Not waiting.
Not inactive.
Reigning!
The One who was crucified is now exalted 🙌 The One who was buried is now enthroned 👑 The resurrection proves God keeps His word 📖 The ascension reveals Jesus holds all authority ⚖️
And it doesn’t stop there!
Because the same Scriptures that pointed to His resurrection also point to ours. Those who belong to Christ will not remain in the grave!
The empty tomb wasn’t just about Jesus. It was the beginning of a greater promise. ✨
Because He lives
He reigns. 👑
And one day we will rise with Him ✝️🔥

Heaven’s Hosanna: God’s Greater Plan 🌿✝️
“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9 (NIV)
Hey friends 👋
Palm Sunday feels like a victory moment.
Crowds gathering.
Branches waving. 🌿
Voices shouting “Hosanna!”
But what was happening in heaven
was even bigger than what was happening in the streets.
The people saw a king arriving.
Heaven saw a plan unfolding. ✨
Jesus wasn’t entering Jerusalem randomly.
Every step was intentional.
Every detail was fulfillment.
A prophecy being lived out in real time. 📖
Not on a war horse.
Not in force.
But on a donkey.
Because God’s plan wasn’t built on human expectation
it was built on divine purpose.
The crowd cried out, “Hosanna!”
Which means: “Save us now!”
And they meant it.
They wanted immediate rescue.
Immediate change.
Immediate answers. ⚡
But heaven’s definition of “save” was greater.
Not just temporary relief…
but eternal redemption. ✝️🔥
That’s the tension of Palm Sunday.
The same word carrying two very different expectations.
The crowd saw a moment of victory.
God was executing a plan of salvation.
And here’s where it hits us:
We still shout “Hosanna” today.
We still ask God to move. 🙏
To fix.
To change things quickly.
But what if God is doing something deeper than what we’re asking for?
What if His plan is greater than our timeline? ⏳
Palm Sunday reminds us:
God doesn’t just respond to our cries
He fulfills His purpose.
Even when it doesn’t look like what we expected. 👑
The crowd celebrated what they thought was happening.
Heaven was accomplishing what actually mattered.
So the question becomes:
Do we trust God’s plan even when it unfolds differently than we imagined? 🤔
Because Heaven’s Hosanna
was never about meeting expectations.
It was about fulfilling
God’s greater plan. ✝️✨

Who Are You in PRIVATE?? 🤔
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” Mark 1:35 (NIV)
Hey friends 👋
When we think about Jesus’ life,
it’s easy to focus on the public moments.
The miracles. ✨
The crowds. 👥
The teaching that amazed everyone. 📖
But some of the most powerful moments
happened in private. 🤫
In Mark’s Gospel, we see Jesus constantly surrounded by people.
Needs everywhere.
Demands nonstop.
Crowds pressing in. 👥
And yet Jesus would regularly step away.
Early mornings. 🌅
Quiet places. 🌿
Alone with the Father. 🙏
That’s not weakness.
That’s discipline.
Jesus, fully God, still chose to depend on time with the Father.
Through prayer. 🙏
Through solitude.
Then in Matthew’s Gospel, we see another side.
Jesus teaching not just what to do, but how to pursue God.
“When you fast…” (Matthew 6:16)
Not if.
But when. ⏳
Fasting wasn’t presented as extreme.
It was expected.
A quiet discipline.
A hidden devotion. 🤫
Not for attention.
But for alignment with God. 🎯
Two perspectives.
Same truth.
In Mark, Jesus lives it. 👣
In Matthew, Jesus teaches it. 📣
Solitude.
Prayer.
Fasting.
As we move closer to the cross…
we don’t just see a Savior preparing publicly.
We see a Savior preparing privately.
Strength built in silence.
Focus formed in surrender.
Clarity found in communion with God.
And here’s the challenge:
If Jesus made space for the Father…
how much more do we need to? 🤔
Because the power of His public ministry…
was rooted in His private devotion. 🔥✝️

It isn’t anti-intellectual.
And it isn’t intimidated by hard questions ❓
Christianity stands on truth — historical, spiritual, and rational.
The gospel is not built on emotion alone.
It is rooted in reality ✝️
We are called to be prepared.
Not aggressive.
Not argumentative.
But anchored.
Apologetics isn’t about winning debates 🗣️
It’s about clearing the fog.
It’s about helping people see that belief in Christ is reasonable, coherent, and trustworthy.
You don’t need a seminary degree 🎓
But you should know why you believe what you believe.
Why you trust the reliability of Scripture
Why the resurrection matters
Why truth doesn’t bend with culture
Because when faith has no foundation,it collapses under pressure.
But when faith is examined and understood, it grows stronger 🔎✨
Study intentionally
Ask questions.
Lean into conversations instead of avoiding them 🤝
Someone near you is wrestling with doubt.
Someone is watching how you respond.
And your readinessmay be the bridgebetween skepticismand surrender to Christ. 🔑
