Have you been trying to heal and nothing you try is working?

I know what that's like because I've been there. Some days feel hopeless and terrifying. But when you learn that it isn't medical health OR mental health, it changes how you heal.

It is mind AND body. They are constantly communicating with each other.
The studies show this.

When we start to see the possibility, we begin healing MUCH FASTER. It isn't because we found some magic pills that few people know about. It is because we begin to understand ourselves, maybe for the first time. We start seeing #nervoussystemhealing as medicine for the body. We see that exercise decreases mental fatigue and creates #anxietyrelief.

Using all parts of us to facilitate healing creates a beautifully cyclical and compounding effect.

Try this experiment. Some of this is unique to Whole-Self Wellness and me, while some of it you'll recognize from familiar practice and popular studies.

Listen to this meditation video for 5 minutes either in the morning or as you're winding down for the night. There's some really cool science behind this practice.

While listening, do this:
-Focus your attention on the sound of the water and your belly as you breathe.
-Breathe in quickly twice through your nose with your belly moving before your chest. Approximately 2 seconds for adults.
-Breathe out slowly through your mouth. This is approximately 6-8 seconds for adults.

Hint: if you have it enabled, the video will play on loop.

When you are finished:
Write down what you noticed and share with us if you feel like it.
Did you notice any changes in your muscles? What about your thoughts? Did your breathing change?
