Did you know that the first AI-generated artwork to be sold at a major auction house went for nearly half a million dollars? πΌοΈπ€
Back in 2018, a piece titled "Portrait of Edmond de Belamy" was put up for auction at Christie's and sold for a staggering $432,500! What makes it so special? It wasn't painted by a human. It was created using a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) algorithm that was fed a massive dataset of 15,000 historical portraits spanning 500 years. The AI studied the patterns of classical art and generated a completely new, unique portrait all on its own.
As artificial intelligence continues to revolutionize digital creation, the line between technology and traditional art is blurring faster than ever. How do you use AI tools in your creative workflow today? Let us know in the comments! π

Did you know why we specifically use green screens for video editing instead of red, purple, or yellow? π©
While early Hollywood special effects actually relied on blue screens, modern digital video heavily favors bright neon green. Why? Because digital camera sensors are specifically manufactured to mimic the human eye, making them twice as sensitive to green light! This means the green color channel gives your editing software the brightest, cleanest picture with the least amount of digital noise.
Plus, neon green doesn't naturally appear in human skin tones or hair, making it incredibly easy for your software to instantly remove the background without accidentally erasing parts of you! π¬

Did you know that the very first webcam was invented just to save some steps and avoid a disappointment? β
Back in 1991, researchers at the University of Cambridge were tired of walking all the way to the computer laboratory's main coffee pot, only to find it empty. They hooked up a camera and created software that streamed a grainy 128x128 grayscale image of the pot to their desktop computers! The feed eventually went online, turning a humble coffee pot into the world's first internet celebrity.
It's amazing how massive technological shifts often start by solving simple, everyday annoyances! Whatβs one minor problem in your daily creative workflow that you wish tech could easily solve? Let us know in the comments! π

Did you know that the computer that successfully guided the Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969 had less processing power than a basic modern smartwatch?
The Apollo Guidance Computer had only about 4 kilobytes of RAM and 72 kilobytes of ROM. To put that into perspective, a standard smartphone today has over a million times more memory and is exponentially faster than the machine that helped humans navigate through space! π
It is mind-boggling how much computing power we casually carry around in our pockets. What is a piece of everyday technology that still feels like pure magic to you? Let us know in the comments! π
