Just finished This is Strategy by Seth Godin. I generally enjoy his writing—bite-sized, clever, thought-provoking. But over time I’ve realized… it never sticks for me. 🤔 Like candy: fun and thought-, provoking in the moment, but not nourishing enough to change my day. 🤷🏾‍♀️

This is probably my last Seth book unless something fresh pulls me back in. If you’re new to strategy or Seth, this is worth a listen.

Tallahassee, maybe 2001. 🤔

I had just run from my life as a corporate cog. ⚙️ I was unraveling—whole entire breakdown, whole restart. Didn’t have the words for it then: depression, dissociation. I only knew I couldn’t keep living the way I was.

I love this photo. The youth in my skin. The boldness in my fro. The quiet hope in my eyes that maybe I’d step back into modeling (I never did then…but I still might God spare life).

What I didn’t know was that harder days were coming. 💍♿ But so was deeper healing. ✨ So was growth that would crack me open and re-shape me into the woman I actually wanted to be.

That girl? She didn’t know she’d survive.
This woman? She did. And she’s still becoming. ✨
