My desire is to share my obsession with you, in hopes to inspire and educate through tips, tours, and testing to discover the best Home Theater products to save you time, money and from having buyer's remorse.
I believe EVERYONE can have an amazing home theater regardless of your available space or budget.
Over the past 7 years I've had the privilege of travelling literally around the world to feature a wide range of Home Theaters from DIY to uber high end multi-million dollar theaters.

Today is a sad day for the Home Theater and 2ch community. Dan Roemer (CEO and President of Perlisten) passed away on Dec 26th.
Dan was an incredible engineer, but he was just an amazing person. Every interaction
I had with Dan, he was always so kind and fun to hang out with.
I was the first to interview him and Erik Weiderholtz when I flew up to their HQ to check out this new brand who was making products that were THX Dominus.
At that time, I honestly thought they had made that term up. Nope, it was legit. They were just the only company to have reached the highest THX certification. They didn't just do it once, they did it 21 times!
Please keep Dan's family in your thoughts and prayers. Death is never easy, but it's especially difficult when it happens around the holidays as the holidays will forever be a reminder of it.
The Home Theater and 2ch community will miss his presence, but his legacy lives on in the lives that knew him.

I've been told the Unfolded Circle Remote 3 has a descent learning curve, so I invited Mike Young over to assist in setting it up as he has had experience with it over the past 6 months.
Tomorrow we'll share our initial thoughts between the Sofabaton X2, AVA Cinema and Unfolded Circle Remote 3.
They each have their strengths and weaknesses.

In 2013, I drove 9 hours across three separate trips to buy an 11-speaker Klipsch RF-7 II system off Craigslist for $2,000.
That deal became known in the Klipsch community as the “Youthman Deal.”
It wasn't because I was lucky, but because I was willing to do the research, had some money set aside and I was constantly on the lookout for good deals.
Over the past 20 years in this home, my theater has evolved through multiple brands and many upgrades.
There were no shortcuts. No overnight success. Just slowly upgrading over time as funds became available and enjoying every phase of the journey.
