Chris Seymour from Seymour-Screen Excellence and Melvin Diaz from @epsonamerica getting Scott Newby Epson QL7000 dialed in for tomorrow’s BASS Brings Us Together 2026.
Chris said “this Epson is really good out of the box”.
I think folks are really going to enjoy this experience tomorrow. It’s going to be an exciting day.

BASS Brings Us Together 2026 is under way. This room is wild.
(24) RTJ 24Subs are enough to rearrange your internal organs.
For size perspective, I’m 5’11.
I can’t wait for everyone to experience this tomorrow.

I was a little concerned the new SPEAKERPOWER HT Series might trip my 20 amp breaker.
So far, so good.
These amps are legit.
I love how clean they look, but more importantly, the build quality is on point. Solid chassis, smooth power button, and the rear terminals feel like they belong on a serious piece of gear.
Powered by ICEpower, they’re capable of delivering 2,000 watts to each of my LCR, and doing it effortlessly.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed so far is lower noise floor (my speakers are now dead quiet), much lighter (which my back definitely appreciates) and they just look so good.
I have a feeling my Monolith 11X might be getting replaced soon. It’s been a great amp, but this is a clear step up in performance and a better fit for my theater.
These are built for people who aren’t afraid to push their system. Even when I start pushing my system, these just stay clean and controlled. I don't think they are breaking a sweat at Reference volume.

I’ve tested a lot of universal remotes over the years. Most of them aren’t very intuitive and usually end up making things more complicated.
The Sofabaton X2 is one of the few I’ve used that actually simplifies things.
The app makes setup surprisingly easy. I put together a full step-by-step guide here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H9kA...
I walk through adding devices and creating activities so you can press “Watch Apple TV” or “Watch Kaleidescape” and everything just works.
The biggest win for me… my wife can use it without needing to know how anything works.
The system powers on, switches inputs, and she’s good to go.
No need for multiple remotes.
Now, to be clear, this isn’t a high-end control system. If you’re looking for full IP control or deep UI customization, this isn’t that.
But if you want a clean, reliable way to control your system with one remote, it’s a really solid option.
For a limited time, the Sofabaton X2 and X2 + R1 Repeater are $30 off:

The new RTJ Audio speakers and subs make Scott Newby look like he's 5'4". This Friday I'll be on a flight headed to Chicago for Bass Brings Us Together.
Each year Scott and Kat have graciously opened up their home to the community. This will be my 4th year attending. I go each year to connect with old friends, meet new ones and enjoy both 2ch and movie demos.
Scott is a life-long friend I made 6 years ago because he was willing to open his home up to me for some demos. That's exactly what is happening all across the US and Canada through CommunityAV.

Well pretty much EVERYTHING has changed since last year.
Scott has:
JTR Kallos setup in the smaller living room.
New RTJ 410 MK II speakers and 18Subs MK II in the main living room.
And some MASSIVE (literally) changes in the theater room with the brand new RTJ Audio main speakers (which we will discuss this Friday on a live stream), carbon fiber 24" subs, all new RTJ amplifiers, Red Atom AV rack, Epson QL7000 projector and a massive Seymour-Screen Excellence acoustically transparent screen.
Scott and I will be hosting a live stream on both of our YouTube channels sometime on Friday to share all of the details of the new RTJ series so be on the lookout for that.
I'm just disappointed my flight doesn't leave sooner.
I'll have lots of content during the event and be sure to follow @Scott-Kat for more shenanigans.
Let me know if you will be joining us this Saturday.

I just got an exciting text from a recent customer after upgrading his system.
“Jaw dropping.”
“On a completely different level.”
“Unlike anything I’ve experienced in my own room.”
His previous system was nice.
But his JTR upgrades took him to a whole new level.
"I recently upgraded my home theater from Klipsch KL-650-THX speakers to a full JTR system (3x 212RT, 4x 110HT, and a Captivator 2400 sub) and the difference is absolutely jaw-dropping.
I loved my KL-650-THX setup, but the JTR system is on a completely different level.
I listen at reference volume regularly, and these speakers handle it effortlessly. Clean, dynamic, and completely composed no matter how loud I push them. The imaging is pinpoint accurate, and the dynamic swings in movies and music are unlike anything I've experienced in my own room.
Youthman was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, incredibly knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and genuinely helpful in guiding me toward the right configuration for my space. If you're serious about your home theater, CommunityAV and the JTR lineup are the real deal."
You've heard me for years expressing my love for JTR Speakers. It's exciting when my customers get to experience it for themselves.
