Trump meets the King… but the planet may have just scored an even bigger win: the ozone hole is shrinking...
According to the World Meteorological Organization’s latest Ozone Bulletin, the ozone hole in 2024 was smaller than in recent years, marking a real milestone for science-led collaboration.
Forty years ago, nations came together under the Montreal Protocol to tackle ozone depletion. Today, we’re seeing the benefits, proof that when science and global action align, the world can solve even the toughest challenges.
But here’s the question: with climate change pressures mounting and anti-green policies gaining momentum, are we at risk of letting climate action slip off the agenda?
👉 What do you think?

£5bn of AI investment from Google didn’t just happen, TAX BREAKS did!
Finally, the government has woken up to the idea that smart tax breaks bring in big business.
This isn’t charity. It’s strategy.
High-paid jobs, new services, and stronger infrastructure will all follow, bringing in extra tax revenue for the government that will more than cover the breaks they gave to secure the investment in the first place.
Look at Ireland: they slashed corporation tax and turned a tax revenue deficit into a surplus, all because they were bold enough to make it attractive for global giants like Facebook and Apple.
So the real question is: will the UK take this further?
Cut corporation tax. Cut capital gains tax. Cut Employer NI.
Make the UK the obvious choice for every global player looking for a base.
Because if the government does that, the flood of private investment and talent could transform not just big business, but small business growth too.
👉 What do you think - is it time to be bold with tax reform and cut tax to businesses?

Imagine tearing up your leadership team every year. That’s essentially a government reshuffle - that's what's happening right now!
Labour’s latest reshuffle, triggered by Angela Rayner’s departure, makes absolutely no sense. Take David Lammy: after years as Shadow Foreign Secretary, finally stepping into the role, building relationships and credibility on the world stage… and then abruptly moved on.
Months of preparation, millions in taxpayer-funded briefings, all wasted.
He even managed to get JD Vance to the Cotswolds with him!
This is not an isolated example. It is systemic.
Consider housing and the Tories.
Since 2010, the UK has had 16 different housing ministers in 13 years.
Seven of those changes happened in just the past two years.
No business would accept this level of churn at the senior level.
Imagine if a FTSE 100 company rotated its Chief Operating Officer every 10 months. - FFS!
Yet in government, this is seen as routine.
The result is predictable:
- Short-termism dominates.
- Civil servants spend months re-briefing instead of delivering.
- Policies lack continuity, and trust with stakeholders erodes.
If we approached government like a well-run business, we would:
- Align ministers with their areas of expertise.
- Set clear KPIs and outcomes.
- Keep them in post for at least half a parliamentary cycle (≈2½ years) before any major review.
It doesn't matter which Party you support (if any) this way of approaching leadership goes a long way to explaining why Britain struggles to make sustained progress on ANYTHING!
👉 How would you approach this if you had a new senior leadership team leading a large business?

“Deeply regret the error.” That’s how Angela Rayner described not paying the correct Stamp Duty, while her Government drives taxes sky-high and forces business owners out of business, or out of the UK.
We’re told to “pay our fair share,” yet the very people behind record borrowing and endless tax grabs can’t even get their own tax affairs straight.
The hypocrisy is staggering.
Every year, entrepreneurs are squeezed harder: higher National Insurance, higher Corporation Tax, and higher Business Rates.
It’s pushing some out of business and many more overseas - talent, jobs, and investment Britain can’t afford to lose.
And yet, when it’s them, it’s just an “error” and a shrug of regret.
If it were you or me, there’d be fines, penalties, and headlines about “tax dodging.”
👉 Do you see this as an honest mistake anyone could make, or proof of yet more double standards?

Cara and I sat in a beautiful Spanish square last night, watching a group of ten teenagers on holiday. Not a laugh between them, not even a word, just heads bowed to glowing screens as dinner passed them by.
Just to the right, the parents’ table. No phones in sight, plenty of laughter, conversation, connection.
I looked across at my two, aged 9 and 11, and felt genuinely sad.
Right now, I can still say “no phones at the table.”
But when they reach that age, it will not be my rules that matter, and they will probably not want to sit with us old folk anyway!
It made me wonder what could be done.
What if someone from their generation started a movement?
Something simple, powerful, and viral.
Smartphone Fasting.
Not a ban.
Not another lecture.
But a lifestyle choice that feels aspirational, like intermittent fasting does for food.
A 16:8 smartphone fast:
• 16 hours “off” (no smartphone scrolling, no dopamine loops)
• 8 hours “on” (time for social, entertainment, connection)
Start just before dinner so evenings are for family and conversation.
End around lunchtime, giving you distraction-free mornings for sleep, workouts, journaling, studying, or even content creation if you are so inclined.
A classic camera, a DSLR, or even the Nokia brick could capture those moments.
Laptops could still be used in the morning to work on projects, but without email, Slack, or social media until lunchtime.
Now imagine an app that:
• Starts and ends your smartphone fast
• Tracks streaks and rewards progress
• Lets parents or friends send encouragement or pay for rewards
• Redirects calls during your “off” time to a brick Nokia you carry with you, while your smartphone stays at home
• Even lets parents align pocket money with completed streaks
Monetisation could come from partnerships, ads, and branded daily journals that support the routine.
The benefits?
Better sleep. Sharper focus. Stronger connections. A sense of control.
I do not know if this is just a hopeless rant, or a calling for action, maybe my action, maybe not, but when it comes to our kids mental health maybe this is important enough to explore?
👉 Do you think “smartphone fasting” has legs?

Five years ago, fresh off being fired on The Apprentice (a broken man!) - I thought the answer to success was simple: work even harder and sell everything under the sun, to anyone listening.
So I built out a menu of offers: bronze, silver, gold, the odd bespoke project, platinum for good measure, and even a “lite” version because that’s what the gurus said you needed.
The result?
🔹 No specialism
🔹 Impossible to recruit
🔹 Complexity off the scale.
It was chaos.
Everything changed when I stripped it all back.
One clear product.
One obvious audience.
One platform to market it.
That’s when things took off.
Lord Sugar did always remind us “smell what sells” and he’s not wrong.
Fast forward to today:
🔹 120 staff
🔹 a business that runs like clockwork
🔹 freedom to work on what I want to work on
and I’m typing this from Spain while on holiday with my family.
So 2pm UK time today, if you want to know more - I’ll share exactly how you can take my experience and double your revenue while working half the hours.
No bs.
👉Grab the Zoom link by registering below, and I’ll see you live from Spain.

🏴 If flags on bridges make you uneasy, the answer isn’t fewer of them – it’s more.
Too often, the St George’s Cross gets hijacked by those who want to divide us.
But maybe the only way to change that is not to shy away, it’s to embrace them more.
Imagine if everyone - no matter your nationality, background, or ethnicity – put one up.
On bridges, on lampposts, in windows, on your car.
Not as a statement of exclusion, but as a shared symbol of pride, diversity, and solidarity.
That way, the flags wouldn’t belong to the fringes trying to misuse them and divide us, they’d belong to all of us.
A reminder of the richness, cultural brilliance, and hope that exists in this country.
We do for football - I think it’s now needed for a far bigger and more important cause.
The only way to win is to be bigger, prouder, and more united than the so-called ‘nationalists’.
👉 What do you think – could flying the flag more positively help reclaim it - would you put one up?
