Joshua De Souza is the son of late Adv. Francisco C.J.A de Pinto e Souza, who served the people of Mapusa as a Councillor, Mayor, M.L.A, and went on to become the Dy. Chief Minister of the State of Goa. Joshua had the opportunity to work closely with his father which ultimately drew him towards his community. He contested his first municipal election in 2016, and won. After his father’s death, he decided to contest his first by-election in 2019. On winning, he was elected as the MLA of Mapusa Constituency. After his first tenure, He contested and won the Goa Assembly elections in 2022 and is currently the ruling MLA of Mapusa constituency.

Honoured to witness the electrifying F4 race in Goa as part of the Indian Racing League. As a motorsports enthusiast, it was truly special to see such high-quality motorsport action on Goan soil.
Goa has once again proven its capability to host world-class sporting events. I sincerely thank the Government of Goa for successfully hosting this landmark event. With the success of F4, we now look forward with confidence to welcoming Formula 1 to Goa in the near future.
