My nephew had one of the son's location on Find Friends, so we were checking constantly to see when they would arrive back at home. At 10pm, it was go time and we had 30 minutes to get there and get in position. Unfortunately, since this wasn't exactly part of the plan, we weren't terribly organized, and we ended getting there JUST in time to witness them arrive home. No time to set up hidden cameras.
Sorry for the terrible pic quality. I panicked when I saw them driving up and used the phone in my hands to quickly start filming (while ducking) in the car. We were parked across the street. The only problem was we had 2 adults and 3 kids, in a parked car, with no air on, in the cold. Keep that in mind for later...
So they pulled up very slowly lol, clearly taking in what had happened to their yard. They opened the garage, but it was covered in saran wrap, so they couldn't actually pull in. We kept filming, with just our arms above the dash, as we ducked as low as we could. They got out and started surveying the decorations for a few minutes. We were trying so hard to keep the kids quiet in the backseat. They wanted so badly to jump out and surprise them.
We figured they wouldn't know my car, since we don't live there, and they wouldn't suspect anything if they saw it. Unfortunately...they spotted the car pretty quickly, because I guess "NO one ever parks there". Additionally, 5 people in a parked car, in the cold, create pretty foggy windows. And they noticed lololol. They legit thought there might be a couple of people...hanging out. I'm cringing so hard thinking about it.
The son casually walked over to just check it out. Picture 3 & 4 are him circling the car and realizing he recognized people inside. Picture 6 is the dad walking over, finding out who the culprits were. I was SO disappointed we parked where we were and ruined the mystery! I really thought we might get away with it.
Rachel and the other group had parked up the street, but quickly figured out that we had been caught. Everyone came together and recounted the day's endeavor and we really couldn't have yard-pranked a better family.
Eric, the dad, said that when they were pulling the car up the house and he saw everything, he said, "I think somebody loves us. We've been pranked!"
WE GOT CAUGHT! 🙈🙈🙈 We found out they were coming home at like 10:30pm, so we got there and hid...but not well enough apparently!
I'll share the story in the next post, but this one is all pics from the daytime setup of the yard prank. We plugged in a couple inflatable Christmas decorations, planted "For Sale" and "No Parking" signs, decorated a car as if they just got married, saran-wrapped the garage, and then topped it off with 1,000 RED SOLO CUPS throughout the yard. It took about 3+ hours and almost the whole family joined in!
Youtube limits each post to 10 photos and I want to share more than that lol. Here's part 1, and part 2 is coming shortly!
If, hypothetically....someone.... wanted to prank a friend by doing something to their front yard, what should they do? It can't be toilet-papering because it's been raining. It needs to be harmless, but still funny.
Hiiii chat! The schedule for this week will be Christmas cookies on Wednesday and Disneyland on Friday!
PS: Full transparency, I was actually planning to do baking today, but something is up with my back. And I'm not a person with back pain usually. It started 3 weeks ago and it's getting to the point where I probably need to schedule an appt. I'm going to see if I can get seen today. Wish me luck, and hopefully see you tomorrow.
As I was perusing pics for the "No Context Photos", I found a few from when I got to do a bridal runway shows and a faux engagement shoot. Check out my braid-hawk in the first one! 😁 That was the show where I tripped up the stairs to the runway...in front of everyone hahahah.
