I'm curious, have you guys ever heard of Flow State?
I've only ever unintentionally dropped into Flow State, but I'm curious if anyone has more experience with intentionally achieving this state? Seems like it could be a useful tool for everyone.
For those who may not know:
🔁 Flow state, or being "in the zone," is a state of complete immersion, intense focus, and enjoyment in an activity, where self-consciousness vanishes, and time seems to distort. This cognitive state occurs when skills perfectly match a high-level challenge, resulting in increased productivity, creativity, and deep satisfaction.
It occurred to me tonight that I'm seeing some symptoms of burnout. My sleep hasn't been great, routine tasks are fatiguing me more than usual, and I've been feeling increasingly overwhelmed by seemingly nothing.
I share all this not to complain or worry anyone, but just to be a little transparent about my thought process. I've pushed through these things before and found that I can't escape the burnout. It gets harder to bounce back from over too much time. That's why I'm just going to take a quick step back to rest and recover.
About a week is what I'm thinking for now. I'll need to reassess when that time frame is coming to a close, but that's my hope for now.
Going forward, my plan is to get back into planning breaks throughout the year to get out in front of this, rather than reacting to it once I'm feeling stuck. I feel like I'm rambling now, but it's like 2am, so you'll have to forgive me haha.
I may post here or there to update you on progress or share some ideas, if they start flowing. I just want to get back into a good headspace. I appreciate how supportive you all have been, especially as I figure these things out. I feel very fortunate to have the community I've got in you guys. Thank you.
Made butter tarts on stream today, and they are a HIT! Gave some to my barre instructor and YH friends. Always nice to share food creations with people! And you can't really go wrong with pie crust and butter and brown sugar. I meaaaan...
...so I'm making this post to let you know I plan to edit videos today, from the past week. Here's what I need to get done:

If I don't get these done by tomorrow's stream, I *want* you to give me a hard time. Editing is not something I have a lot of experience with, so the process can be super long and tedious for me, which makes it hard to get started.

I haven't quite found the funny over-the-top structure that I want to do to do the theme justice. I could pull something together that would *work, but I know how anticipated these types of streams are, and I don't want to do a meh job. So I appreciate just a liiiiittle more patience while I do a little more creative development.

I've decided to take a short break.
