🎂 HAPPY 69TH BIRTHDAY, TERRY LEWIS! (NOVEMBER 24, 1956).
Composer, writer, music producer, bassist, percussionist, and former founding member of the bands "Flyte Tyme" (1972) and "The Time" (1981), the latter created by Prince. Terry is a member of the successful songwriting and production duo @JimmyJamTerryLewis (along with his bandmate and best friend, Jimmy Jam). Terry was also married to singer Karyn White (from 1992 to 1999), with whom he had two children (Ashley Nicole and Brandon Lewis, the latter being adopted).
Jam and Lewis rose to fame by composing and producing Janet Jackson's third studio album, "Control" (1986), an album that was one of the many inspirations for composer and producer Teddy Riley in creating "New Jack Swing" (a popular musical genre of the late 1980s and early 1990s).
Jam and Lewis became successful songwriters and producers, and were also pioneers of "New Jack Swing", competing with Babyface and L.A. Reid (former members of "The Deele") and with its creator, Teddy Riley (of "Guy" and "Blackstreet").
Jam and Lewis were Janet Jackson's primary producers from 1986 onward, composing and producing the vast majority of her studio albums, including: "Control" (1986), "Rhythm Nation 1814" (1989), the single "The Best Things In Life Are Free" (1992), "Janet." (1993), "Design Of A Decade: 1986-1996" (1995), "The Velvet Rope" (1997), "All For You" (2001), "Damita Jo" (2004), "20 Y.O." (2006) and "Unbreakable" (2015).
They also worked with Michael Jackson on studio albums such as "HIStory" (1995) and "Blood On The Dance Floor" (1997).
On July 9, 2021, Jam and Lewis released their first and only studio album to date titled "Jam & Lewis: Volume One" (featuring 10 new songs in collaboration with legendary artists and groups they had previously worked with); released under their own label "Flyte Tyme Records" in association with "BMG Rights Management".

🙏 As many of you know, Jellybean Johnson passed away on November 21, 2025. The Jacksons Music extends its deepest condolences and sends many blessings to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, great, Jellybean Johnson.
Garry George "Jellybean" Johnson (@jellybeanjohnson5114) was a drummer, guitarist, songwriter, writer, music producer, and founding member of the bands "Flyte Tyme" (1972), "The Time" (1981), and "The Family" / "fDeluxe" (1984), the latter two created by Prince.
He was also part of the songwriting and production team at Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis' "Flyte Tyme" label (his former bandmates in "Flyte Tyme" and "The Time").
Jellybean worked with Janet Jackson on studio albums such as "Rhythm Nation 1814" (1989), specifically on the hard rock song "Black Cat," and also on the album "Janet." (1993), specifically on the rock song "What'll I Do." He is also credited on other albums such as "janet. Remixed" (1995), "Design Of A Decade: 1986-1996" (1995), "Number Ones" (2009), and "Japanese Singles Collection: Greatest Hits" (2022).

He was a professor, theologian, humanist, chemist, Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires (1992-1997), Titular Bishop of Auca, Spain (1992-1997), Coadjutor Archbishop of Buenos Aires (1997-1998), Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Primate of Argentina (1998-2013), Grand Chancellor of the Catholic University of Argentina (1998-2013), and Pope of the Catholic Church (from March 13, 2013 to April 21, 2025).
Just after Holy Week, THE FIRST HISPANIC-AMERICAN POPE, and apparently THE LAST, has gone into the arms of God. During these first months of the year, there was much talk about his delicate state of health and frequent hospitalizations, where he was apparently slowly showing improvement. However, he would ultimately pass away at 7:35 a.m. on April 21, 2025, at the age of 88, at his residence in Casa Santa Marta, Vatican City (Vatican City State located in Rome, Italy).
The cause of his death was a cerebral stroke / cerebrovascular accident (CVA) and subsequent complications, after having struggled with various health problems in the weeks prior to his death. His last appearance before the faithful was just 15 hours before his death, precisely during a brief Easter Sunday speech before more than 5,000 people. In his final speech, he called for world peace, saying: "There can be no peace without freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of expression, and respect for the opinions of others."

Primado de Argentina (1998 - 2013), Gran canciller de la Universidad Católica Argentina (1998 - 2013) y Papa de la Iglesia Católica (del 13 de marzo de 2013 - al 21 de abril de 2025).
Justo después de la Semana Santa, EL PRIMER PAPA HISPANOAMERICANO y al parecer EL ÚLTIMO se ha ido hacia los brazos de Dios. Durante estos primeros meses del año se habló mucho sobre su delicado estado de salud y sus frecuentes hospitalizaciones, dónde aparentemente estaba mostrando lentamente una mejoría en su salud, pero terminaría falleciendo a las 7:35 horas de la mañana del día 21 de abril de 2025 a los 88 años de edad en su residencia de la Casa Santa Marta, en Ciudad del Vaticano, (Estado de la Ciudad del Vaticano ubicado en Roma, Italia).

Su última aparición ante los fieles fue tan solo 15 horas antes de su fallecimiento, precisamente dando un breve discurso por el Domingo de Resurrección ante más de 5,000 personas. En su último discurso clamó por la paz mundial diciendo: "No puede haber paz sin libertad de religión, libertad de pensamiento, libertad de expresión y respeto por las opiniones de los demás".

Kenneth Brian "@Babyface" Edmonds: singer, songwriter, record producer, keyboardist, guitarist, entrepreneur and record executive. Former member of "Manchild" (1977–1981) with his friend Daryl Simmons; former founding member of "The Deele" (1981–1987) with L.A. Reid, Carlos "Satin" Greene, Darnell "Dee" Bristol and Kevin "Kayo" Roberson; former founding member of the fictional group "Milestone" (1997); and co-founder of the record label "LaFace Records" (1989) with L.A. Reid.
He is also the brother of Kevon and Melvin Edmonds (singers and founding members of the group "After 7" with their friend Keith Mitchell).
Babyface, with "The Deele," released 3 studio albums: 1983's "Street Beat," 1985's "Material Thangz," and 1987's "Eyes Of A Stranger". He also released his debut studio album, "Lovers," in 1986, all released on "Solar Records".
In 1987, Babyface and L.A. Reid left the band and joined forces as a songwriting and production duo, assisted by Daryl Simmons and Kevin "Kayo" Roberson. They worked for a few artists and groups, but failed to achieve significant hits and were unsuccessful in finding work opportunities, being rejected by several artists and record labels along the way.
The duo wouldn't achieve the success they longed for until 1988, when "MCA Records" president Louil Silas Jr. gave them the opportunity to work with a young singer who also yearned for musical success: Bobby Brown (former founding member of the successful boy group "New Edition"). Babyface and Reid wrote and produced half of their album, "Don't Be Cruel" (1988), which became an international hit, bringing recognition to Bobby Brown and the duo.
The duo became one of the pioneers of the "New Jack Swing" genre and also one of the most successful songwriting and production duos of the late 1980s and early 1990s, competing with Jam and Lewis (former members of "The Time") and the creator of "New Jack Swing" himself, Teddy Riley (of "Guy" and "Blackstreet").
Babyface worked with The Jacksons for their last album, "2300 Jackson Street" (1989), with Jermaine Jackson for his album "You Said" (1991), collaborated with Michael Jackson during the recording sessions of the album "Dangerous" (1991) and on the recording sessions of the album "HIStory" (1995), was credited on 3T's first debut album "Brotherhood" (1995), worked on Michael Jackson's last album "Invincible" (2001), worked on Janet Jackson's album "Damita Jo" (2004) and was credited on Michael Jackson's posthumous album "Xscape" (2014). Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown, singer, rapper, dancer, songwriter, record producer, "King of New Jack Swing", founding member of the successful 80s boy band "@neweditionofficial" and ex-husband of singer @whitneyhoustonmusic (1992 - 2007).
The story behind the name "New Edition" may seem obvious, but for those who don't know, New Edition is named so because their then choreographer, tutor and protector Brooke Payne saw them as a New Edition of The Jackson 5, with that in mind, Payne named them that, apart from the fact that all the boys were fans of The Jackson 5.
Bobby himself has previously confessed that in his teenage years he was in love with Janet, they finally dated for a while in 1989, but the relationship came to nothing, it is said because he was not accepted by Janet herself, not even by her father (Joe Jackson) due to his origin as a "hood boy".
Bobby has also confessed that his song "Rock Witcha" (1988), composed and produced by the former duo of the band "The Deele", Babyface and L.A. Reid, was sung in dedication to Janet, being more evident its dedication to Janet in the remix version included in his compilation album of remixes "Dance!...Ya Know It! (1989).
Although Bobby was already known for having been a member of "New Edition", he achieved enormous fame and popularity as a solo artist, specifically when he released his second studio album "Don't Be Cruel" (1988), where he worked with the pioneers of "New Jack Swing", Babyface and L.A. ▶JANUARY 15, 1943: ALPHONSO "FONCE" MIZELL'S CELESTIAL 82ND BIRTHDAY.
He was an American composer, writer, musician, record producer, older brother of Larry and Rodney Mizell, former founding member of the band "The Vanlords" (along with Larry, Freddie Perren and John Butler), co-founder of the labels "Hog Records" and "Sky High Productions" (along with Larry) and former member of the Motown Records collective of songwriters and producers: "The Corporation" (along with Berry Gordy Jr., Freddie Perren and Deke Richards).
Fonce and Larry Mizell, also known as "The Mizell Brothers" spent their early years in the Sugar Hill neighborhood of Harlem. Their grandparents (who lived in the apartment next door) had a piano, their grandmother could actually play the piano by ear (although only all the black keys). The Mizell boys' fascination with the piano eventually led their mother to rent a baby grand piano of their own, which they learned to play fluently.
When the Mizell brothers were in high school, they met Freddie Perren (an aspiring musician). Freddie Perren, Fonce, and Larry attended Dwight Morrow High School, where they were mentored by the school's band director, Thaddeus Kropczynski, who placed them in the school band, where they played trumpets.
The Mizell brothers and Perren formed a "Doo-wop" group called the "Nikons" and recorded a handful of demos before graduating from high school. The Mizell brothers and Perren later attended "Howard" University (one of the largest and most prominent historically black universities in Washington, DC and the entire United States); and in late 1961, they formed the "Jazz" quartet called "The Vanlords" (along with their friend John Butler).
After graduating from "Howard", Fonce and Perren moved to Los Angeles. Both landed a short-lived job at the independent label "LARCO Records". A mutual friend named Jill Griffith soon put Fonce in touch with "Motown" producer Deke Richards, and in 1969, Fonce and Perren were signed by the label as members of the musical collective "The Corporation" (a collective created especially to compose and produce songs for "The Jackson 5", who had recently signed with the label).
From there, "The Corporation" dedicated itself to composing and producing the first studio albums of The Jackson 5, obtaining great successes; They also worked with various artists and groups on the same label in the early 1970s. "The Corporation" dissolved in 1972 after Hal Davis (who was "Motown's" West Coast operations chief) took over creative control of the Jackson 5's production.
In 1973, brothers Larry and Fonce reunited and dedicated themselves to composing and producing for various artists and groups, earning and achieving hits, and soon after, they founded their own labels: "Hog Records" and "Sky High Productions". And even though Fonce was working outside of "Motown", Berry Gordy Jr. always gave him the freedom to return to the label as an independent composer and producer, as well as the other former members of the collective, something that Fonce did not waste, including his brother Larry, and sometimes, working together with Freddie Perren.
The Mizell brothers continued to work throughout the remainder of the 1970s, and by the new decade in the early 1980s, the Mizell brothers felt they had done everything they set out to accomplish, so they took a very long break from music. Returning to the music industry in the 2000s, Larry Mizell wrote and performed the song "Play With The Changes" on "4hero's" album of the same name in 2007.
According to Larry Mizell's son, Larry Mizell Jr., the Mizell brothers are cousins of Jam Master Jay (a member of "Run-DMC"), as well as Ronnie Spector, Estelle Bennett, and Nedra Talley (of the 1960s girl group "The Ronettes"), and are related to songwriter Andy Razaf.

Andraé Edward Crouch was a singer, songwriter, arranger, music producer, gospel pastor and twin brother of Sandra Crouch.
Known as "The Father of Modern Gospel Music" by contemporary Christian and gospel music professionals, Andraé was known for his compositions "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power", "My Tribute (To God Be The Glory)" and "Soon And Very Soon".
He collaborated on some of his recordings with major artists such as Stevie Wonder, El DeBarge (of "DeBarge"), Philip Bailey (of "Earth, Wind & Fire"), Chaka Khan (of "Rufus"), Sheila E., and Take 6. Many popular artists covered his material, including Bob Dylan, Barbara Mandrell, Paul Simon (of "Simon & Garfunkel"), Elvis Presley, and Little Richard.
In the 1980s and 1990s, he was known as "the go-to producer" for superstars seeking a gospel choir sound on their recordings; Andraé was known for his talent for incorporating contemporary secular music styles (music that is intended for a non-religious audience) into the gospel music he grew up with.
His efforts in this area helped pave the way for early American contemporary Christian music during the 1960s and 1970s.
The Crouch twins had a friendship with Michael Jackson. In 1987, the Andraé Crouch Choir sang backing vocals alongside Siedah Garrett and The Winans on the song "Man In The Mirror" from the album "Bad". The Andraé Crouch Singers were also featured on the songs "Keep The Faith" and "Will You Be There" from the 1991 album "Dangerous."
The Andraé Crouch Choir is heard on the song "Earth Song" from the 1995 album "HIStory." They are also heard on the song "Morphine" from the 1997 album "Blood On The Dance Floor," and one last time on the song "Speechless" from the 2001 album "Invincible."
Andraé's composition, "Soon And Very Soon," was performed by the Andraé Crouch Choir at Michael's public memorial service, (held at the "Staples Center" in Los Angeles) on July 7, 2009.
On the day of Andraé's death, Sandra Crouch released the following statement: "Today my twin brother, wombmate and best friend went home to be with me." with the Lord. Please keep me, my family, and our church family in your prayers. I tried to keep him here, but God loved him more."

Alberto Aguilera "Juan Gabriel" Valadez, was a Mexican singer, composer, writer, music producer, guitarist and actor. Called by many as "El Divo De Juárez" (this because he spent much of his childhood in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua).
Alberto was the youngest of the 10 children of peasants Gabriel Aguilera Rodríguez and Victoria Valadez Rojas. When he was still a baby, his father developed a mental disorder, so he was taken to Mexico City, to be admitted to the psychiatric hospital of "La Castañeda", a place where his final destination was never known. No longer having the help of his father, his mother emigrated with all her children, finally settling in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
At the age of 5, Alberto entered the School of Social Improvement for Minors as a boarder. In this institution he met Juan Contreras, a tinsmith teacher whom he came to consider as a father, and who also taught him how to work and gave him music classes, learning on the spot to play the guitar, and also began to develop a great talent in writing and composing songs.
In 1968, Alberto, under the pseudonym of "Adán Luna", embarked on a trip through some cities in Mexico and one American city, in order to look for work opportunities in the world of music, without obtaining the success he expected. In 1971, and after many attempts, he finally managed to get a record label to sign him as a musical artist, (this was "RCA Victor"); Alberto did not waste this opportunity and changed his stage name to "Juan Gabriel", "Juan" in honor of his teacher Juan Contreras, and "Gabriel" honoring his father Gabriel Aguilera.
The executives at "RCA Victor" gave Juan Gabriel full creative control, as they saw that he had the ability to write and compose songs on his own. In that same year of 1971, Juan Gabriel released his first studio debut album "El Alma Joven" (all the songs were written and composed by himself), and as expected, his first debut album was a huge success, obtaining his first big hits as a singer, selling more than a million copies in Mexico and more than two million worldwide, becoming an emerging and successful musical artist in Mexico and all of Hispanic America.
During the 70s, already becoming a highly successful artist, he also dedicated himself to writing and producing songs for various artists both national and international.
