God (the father) sacrifices Jesus (his son) to garner forgiveness of sin.
How is this NOT a bastardization of ancient Hebrew blood magic and by definition CHILD SACRIFICE? Maybe if we phrase it like this: A father sacrificed his child to garner forgiveness for sin. How does that NOT sound sick? If we caught anyone doing that today...
You might argue that Jesus was a grown up, so it wasn't a 'child' sacrifice. My response would be that in the New Testament, Jesus is explicitly called or identified as god’s son / the son of god / his son / my son / beloved son / only son well over 100 times.
Jesus was a CHILD SACRIFICE! How do you Christians feel about that?
