Super Nicktendo is the home to Retronomics - the series that follows the price trends in video games. I cover a wide variety of systems including the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Gamecube and MORE!
I ask my subscribers for suggestions so if you have some games that I should cover, subscribe so you'll see when I ask!
In addition to Retronomics, I also make video essays. My latest video explaining why Limited Run Games has lost their way has sparked quite the conversation.
I have more essays on the way including one about the failed console Ouya and the Atari Jaguar.
Consider Subscribing!
Please enjoy.

Merry Christmas! I hope Santa brought you some cool stuff. I got a dremel from my MIL and my wife and I bought a brand new TV to upgrade from our 15 year old 720p plasma. But I also got the Lego Gameboy at launch but waited for a day I could spend inside. Today is that day. The quality is pretty good. Same size as a DMG. I considered the mods for it to turn it into a real Gameboy but maybe I'll put a tiny screen and raspberry pi to just play some game footage instead.

Greetings from Arizona! I'm working on releasing a Gamecube retronomics video next week but for now my wife and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary in Arizona specifically Flagstaff. We've driven over 1000 miles so far and visited four National Park locations so far. Most recently the Petrified Fore which has ties to Route 66. It's been really fun to visit areas almost untouched since the 50s. A great blend of Americana and ancient nature. Thanks for your patience as I work on adjusting the channel's content.

This was a great watch. I have been putting together a CRT setup myself and while I would love to have something nostalgia accurate, I think I can make my setup work

Someone reached out to me about more detail on the Legend of Zelda collector's edition Gamecube varient because they want to attempt to make a reproduction. If you feel like making your own here are the same photos I sent. I know some people have reservations about reproductions so this could serve as a reference of whan an authentic sticker looks like. I'm gonna a wager it'll be pretty easy to spot a fake of this anyway.

Had a great time at the Vintage computer festival in Schaumburg yesterday. I have been getting more into crafting projects than collecting so it was a lot of fun to see what other people created.

In the process of designing a Mister case. I ordered a 3d printed prototype to make sure I got my measurements correct. Some adjustments need to be made but not a bad first attempt. The three holes near the screen are intended to be push buttons for the menu and such but I decided to use bigger buttons. Also I have to consider wiring on the back.
The process will be it's own video but I'm wrapping up the Retrotink 4k video then will release a retronomics on Gamecube prices. I've been stuck thinking of ideas for the series so if you have any suggestions drop them below

This is an interesting watch. I have never seen a Snes fail that wasn't damaged in some other way, But still something to keep an eye on.

I haven't shared a game room update in ages. I have been wanting to make it less a display for games and more for enjoying the games and the other pieces of analog media that I have including records. I have looking for a vintage hifi for years but like video games, popular stuff demands an inflated price. But today I got lucky and found this Zenith phonograph with two speakers for $25.
They're pretty unique in that they send sound out 360 degrees instead just outward. Everything works but it can use a recap and full clean of it's innards. The goal is to get an entertainment center so these speakers can sit under the TV. I think with a subwoofer these might be great for gaming.
