🚨 Australia is planning to Ban social media for children under 16….
and honestly–I think it’s a smart move.
I’ll explain why:
Today, over 90% of rural kids between 14-18 already have their own smartphones.
And wherever I go, I see parents giving phones to kids just to keep them entertained.
Social media, as we know, is a world where trends go viral overnight. Kids are exposed to all kinds of posts—from the latest fashion to new gadgets.
Kids see it, and naturally, they want it too, even if they don’t really need it.
So intentionally or not….It’s training them to spend impulsively from a young age.
And yes …..Every parent has their own approach to teaching values and handling screen time, but we cant ignore the huge impact social media has on young minds today!
Less exposure to trends = less pressure to spend early. âś…
This will create– Healthier minds, better money habits, and maybe even a better generation!✅
What do you think?
❤️Yes, it’s definitely a good move. 🙏Not really, kids will still find a way. 👍I’d rather teach them about money than limit social media.
