Jaden Jefferson Reports

I'm an 18-year-old journalist covering politics, policy, economics, and global affairs. Welcome to my channel!

This all started in 2019, when I began covering stories here in Toledo, Ohio. That same year, I had my 'big break': an interview with presidential candidate & Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. That led to appearances on CBS This Morning, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, as well as write-ups in national publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Root, and others. I've also made a number of appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, during which I interviewed the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt, Naomi Osaka, and Eric Stonestreet. My final appearance on the show was in 2022, when I interviewed Ellen herself, as part of her final season. Following that, I would re-appear on the nationally-syndicated LIVE with Kelly and Mark, on which I was previously interviewed in 2020. I've also covered U.S. politics for the U.K. young adult news show 'FYI' on Sky.

#Election2026 🗳️: David Pepper previously served as chair of the Ohio Democratic Party, and before that, was a Hamilton County commissioner.

Now, he's vying to be Ohio's next lieutenant governor, as the running mate of gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton.

Following a news conference in Toledo this morning, I asked him about a range of issues: from legislative politics and property taxes — to healthcare costs and data centers.

Full interview to come.

While this is only its fifth year as a federal holiday, #Juneteenth has been celebrated since 1866, making today the holiday's 160th anniversary.

For perspective, that means it's been celebrated for well over half (nearly 64%) of our country's existence. 🟥⬛️🟩

On with CNN's Kaitlin Collins, a few minutes ago, Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno (R) was asked, "Do you think that they [the Iranian people] have been left hung out to dry here?"

Moreno: "I don't know what's going to happen there. Again, we don't know. Do I hope that the Iranian people try to get their country back? Yes."
