Celebration of Life - Speech for Cynthia
My name is Jordy, and I had the deep privilege of calling Cynthia my friend, my teacher, and my spiritual guide.
Trying to speak about Cynthia in past tense still feels strange, because her presence was never confined to time. She didn’t just walk beside people for a chapter — she changed the direction of their path. For me, she was someone who saw me clearly long before I fully saw myself, and she never stopped believing in who I was becoming.
Cynthia played a pivotal role in my spiritual journey. She was the person who encouraged me to trust my intuition, to explore tarot, and — most importantly — to connect with others from a place of honesty and compassion. She didn’t push or preach. She simply lived what she believed, and in doing so, she gave others permission to do the same.
One of the most beautiful things about my relationship with Cynthia was that it wasn’t defined by age or hierarchy. We were constantly learning from each other. We talked about spirituality, health, joy, and what it means to live a meaningful life. There was a mutual curiosity between us — a shared understanding that life is not about having all the answers, but about staying open enough to keep learning.
If Cynthia were standing here today, I think she would remind us that life itself is a classroom. That every experience — even the painful ones — has something to teach us. She believed deeply in continuing to study, to ask questions, and to remain students of life for as long as we are here.
Cynthia also believed strongly in personal responsibility — not in a harsh or judgmental way, but as an act of empowerment. She taught that taking responsibility for our choices is how we grow from the inside out. She stood firmly for what was right and just, and she believed that protecting those values was an act of love. She led with love, even when it wasn’t easy, and she trusted that love was always the strongest force available to us.
Our connection was one that I can only describe as a soulmate bond. Not in a romantic sense, but in the way souls recognize each other across lifetimes. Cynthia supported my spiritual relationships, encouraged my growth, and celebrated the connections that helped me expand. Even now, I feel her support — steady, familiar, and unmistakable.
Cynthia understood balance in a way that only someone who has struggled deeply can. She lived with lifelong health challenges, and those experiences shaped her wisdom. She knew the cost of imbalance, and she knew the importance of caring for the body, the mind, and the spirit together. She would often remind me — and I believe she would remind all of us — to take inventory of our lives. To notice where we are depleted. To heal what is out of alignment. Not out of fear, but out of self-respect.
She also had a deep love for nature. Cynthia believed in stepping outside when life felt overwhelming — in letting fresh air, sunlight, and stillness reset the nervous system and open the door to new ideas. She knew that clarity often comes when we slow down enough to listen.
And she believed, wholeheartedly, that our loved ones who have passed are never far away. That they know us intimately. That they see our struggles and our strengths. And that their guidance continues — quietly, gently — if we’re willing to notice it.
I believe Cynthia is experiencing a rebirth now. A new beginning filled with ease, youthfulness, and more love than she ever had access to here. And yet, even in this new beginning, she hasn’t stopped seeing the potential in those she loves. She always saw mine. She saw what I could become before I believed it myself. That was one of her greatest gifts.
Cynthia had a playful intelligence about her — a sharp mind paired with warmth and humor. She knew how to be serious without becoming heavy, and wise without becoming rigid. She reminded us that joy matters. That laughter matters. That life is meant to be lived, not just endured.
She was also a natural teacher. Entirely self-taught, endlessly curious, and deeply committed to understanding the unseen layers of life. Her influence is the reason I now teach others about psychic development and spiritual connection. Her legacy lives on in every person she inspired to trust themselves a little more.
Cynthia, I love you. Thank you for walking with me, for guiding me, and for believing in me. Thank you for reminding us that learning never ends, that love leads the way, and that balance is an act of devotion to life itself.
We miss you deeply. We carry you with us. And we will continue — in our own imperfect ways — to live what you taught us.
Rest easy, my friend.
