10 years ago today, Sauti Sol released their career defining album, Live and Die In Africa. The album produced hits such as "Sura Yako", "Isabella", "Nishike" to name a few.
On this day in 1996, Capital FM was launched. The station was a pioneer in so many ways: 1) Kenya's first privately owned radio station 2) Kenya's first commercial radio station 3) The radio station that brought urban music to the forefront
Capital FM is credited for kick-starting the careers of so many radio and media personalities such as Fareed Khimani, Eve D’ Souza, Caroline Mutoko, Jimmy Gathu, Zain Verjee, Jeff Koinange, Pinky Ghelani…the list is endless.
Tech giant, Oppo, is becoming notorious for being shady towards creatives and their work. Just a few months ago, they clashed with musician Mutoriah over copying infringement and now popular influencer, Bernice Nunah, is allegedly calling them out for not paying her. Thoughts? 🤔
