Happy near year, everybody! Just wanted to make a quick announcement that there most likely will not be a video uploaded to the channel this month. Instead, I will take the time to work on a variety of projects and hopefully develop a healthy pipeline for the next couple of months. Hi everyone, I have some exciting updates to share!

First off, I’m announcing that my next video will be on Donkey Kong Bananza. I have a lot I want to say about this game, and it’ll surely generate a lot of discussion. Progress has been steady, and it won’t be too long until it’s ready to release.

Next, I’ve been wanting to experiment with different styles of content on this channel for a while now. I definitely enjoy making the type of content I do currently, but there are limitations that come with it. I want to do a better job expressing my personality through my discussion of games, and that can be difficult in a scripted format. I also don’t want to limit myself to dissecting a single game or series in one video.

So, what does this mean for you as a viewer? Don’t worry, I have no plans to slow down my usual production of scripted videos—all this means is that you’ll have more content to watch, and an opportunity to get to know me a bit better. No matter the format, this channel will be dedicated to discussing games at length, with some critical and personal analysis. I’m planning on making the first of this new kind of video fairly soon, so be on the lookout, and be sure to give me any feedback you have!

Lastly, to mark this new era, I have commissioned new channel art. This means that I will be officially retiring the Toon Link branding. 😔 When I started this channel, I used a Toon Link screenshot as a sort of placeholder until I figured out what I wanted my branding to be, but it just kind of stuck for longer than I’d intended.

Hey folks,

Got a small update for you. Since my last video, I got engaged, moved to a new town, and started working full-time! As I’m sure you can imagine, YouTube has been on the back burner for me recently. However, I’m looking to rectify that in the coming weeks, with my next major video being on Hollow Knight. I’ve still got a decent amount left to do on the script, but I’ve been making steady progress, and you won’t have to wait too much longer.

After that, I’m going to do my best to fit work for this channel into my routine now that I’m a little more settled in. I’m confident I’ll be able to make it work; it’s always very motivating to see your feedback!

I’ve felt pretty bad about the lack of uploads and audience interaction lately, but hopefully this post demonstrates why that had to be. Stay tuned for my next video, and let’s hope we get a Silksong shadow drop tomorrow! 🤞
