The Paradox of Religious Certainty

They are divided into sects, yet somehow united in one thing: everyone outside their preferred label becomes a problem. Agnostic? Problem. Atheist? Problem. Monotheist? Still a problem. Polytheist? Naturally, another problem.

The irony becomes almost philosophical comedy: coats and ties were once condemned, then photography, then videography—yet today, some of the same voices confidently come LIVE, asking people to subscribe and follow.

Even more striking, one sect claims exclusive possession of truth and has already decided who belongs in Hell—as though the Day of Judgment has occurred and they have been appointed its judges.

Is this the teaching of God—or merely human interpretation elevated into divine certainty?

A moment of honor and gratitude.

I am deeply honored to receive the Tagore International Award 2026 in recognition of my exceptional skills and dedication in the category of Cosmopolitan Artist from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

This recognition represents an important milestone in my artistic and intellectual journey. I am a Kashmir University Gold Medalist in Bachelor of Visual Arts and hold a Master of Political Science from IGNOU and a Master of Fine Arts from Visva-Bharati University, founded by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

As an artist and educator, I believe that art is a universal language that connects humanity beyond borders, cultures, and differences. This award strengthens my commitment towards creativity, education, cultural dialogue, and the pursuit of a more compassionate world.

I express my sincere gratitude to my teachers, mentors, family, friends, students, and everyone who has supported my journey.

Yet some journeys are written differently.

Over the past decade, my artworks reached significant public moments—from state merit recognition to presentations before distinguished public figures—while I repeatedly remained outside the official frame.

This unusual experience inspired a deeper reflection on art, humility, creation, and the enduring relationship between the artist and time.

Same Face. Different Time. | A Restored Memory (2014)
This photo was captured in 2014 at IMFA Rajbagh when I was a first-year painting student.

The artwork on the hoodie is mine — hand-painted in acrylic.
Later that year, the Srinagar floods erased much of my work and life.

This restoration does not change who I was.
It simply lets the memory breathe again.
