To expand its reach in communication studies, IIMC set up its first Regional Centre in Dhenkanal (East) in 1994. In 2009, MIB announced four new centres in different regions. Under the 12th Five Year Plan, Regional Centres were established in Jammu (North), Kottayam (South), Amravati (West) & Aizawl (North-East).
