In this video, I discuss the importance of maintaining your individuality in grad school (aka how to stay sane). Towards the end, I give some practical tips that you can use TODAY to ensure that your life doesn't become engulfed by grad school things (i.e. studying, reading, writing, and more studying).
I’ve gained some followers recently, so I thought now would be a good time to reintroduce myself…
Hey 👋🏾 I’m erynduhnay ~ my handle comes from combining my first name [Eryn] and my middle name [Dane’] spelled phonetically. When I initially changed it, I had an entirely different content approach in mind but it was quickly scrapped after one short-lived YouTube video.
But, changing my Instagram handle (and wiping some of my older, cringe worthy content from my page) signaled the beginning of my content creator journey. It all started with my attempts at combatting COVID-19 misinformation by sharing educational content on this platform. You can even see those posts by looking at my “guides” section, titled “COVID-19 + Vaccine Hesitancy”.
And as I began my content creator journey, all the topics that I wanted to speak on grew naturally. Now, I aim to use this platform for empowering people and inspiring healthcare professionals to prioritize health equity - whether it’s demanding better quality of care or improving the accessibility of care. Other things to know about me are that…
🤎 I’m a September Virgo (like Beyonce’ and Zendaya 😊) 🤎 My favorite color is periwinkle - the blue one, not the purple one 🤎 One show I could watch over and over again without fail is New Girl 🤎 My favorite book genre is afrocentric fantasy 🪄 🤎 My love language is theorizing about the world around us and how it came to be…and quality time 🤎 My all-time favorite music artist is Tori Kelly, but I have yet to see her live 😢 🤎 I love Marvel and I’ve watched every project they’ve released thus far 🤎 My all-time favorite movie is Rodger & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1998) with Brandy and Whitney Houston 🤎 Last I checked, my personality type is an INTP, which also means my mind is on and running 24/7
