W.D. Shipley is an award-winning author of speculative and dystopian fiction.

His debut novel, M.A.I.A. (Manufacturing Artificial Intelligence Agency), blends the tension of Divergent with the surveillance themes of 1984.

Based in New Hampshire, he holds a BLA in History and Creative Writing from UMass Lowell and began writing his first manuscript in high school.

His next novel, D.O.R.E. (Department of Reverie Experience), launches in Spring 2026.
