FluxBench is here to help you keep that magic smoke that makes electronics work inside the components where they belong. I want to jump start your journey from the basics of how to get started in electronics to how to make real products, not just projects.

New video out! When are you ready to go beyond breadboards and start making your own electronics? For work I made a few world class sensors into modules and each took about an hour and cost around $5 each for the PCB + parts. Oh, and they are so easy they make great first PCBs! Just breadboard experience needed. The chip, a capacitor or two, maybe a resistor, and headers. That is it!

Just doing simple stuff with them like making a steerable microphone array to see in sound, automating a CNC machine to run 24/7, and creating one of the most precise drone/rocket altimeters on the market. Ya know, simple :D

Headed off tomorrow to see robots and machines at CES and thought I'd make a few business cards to hand out! Black anodized aluminum + 5W diode laser attachment on my Carvera Air. How do you think they turned out?

Happy Nerdy Holidays! What a year it has been :) Hope you have had a good one!

I've been busy working on some big electronics projects outside of YouTube and needed a fun distraction, so I made a video about all my favorite tools and things I use daily. No stupid items, just things a nerd or maker needs in this modern world. I stand by each item on this list!

If you know someone who is having a hard time finding a gift to buy you or someone else who is techy, maybe send them a link! I made this video for people like my Mom and Aunt who want to find a good gift for the nerds in their life (hint: 65W GAN charger and Thunderbolt cables in 1ft, 3ft, and 6ft lengths).

Normal videos will resume soon :) I have circuit boards, components, machines, and ideas ready for upcoming videos! Getting prepared for a mix of intro to electronics and project videos. I'm ready to make some awesome things in 2026!

I was on the "Being an Engineer" podcast! Usually they have big deal engineers and people like heads of industry on their show who drop words of wisdom like there is a hole in their bag.

I told my side of going from DIY to engineer, shared stories about backpacking around Eastern Europe to learn programming, and recounted how our factory production grinded to a halt over the most trivial and unexpected thing.

Check it out!

Ever want to learn how to make a PCB? In just under an hour? I got ya 😁New video out covering how to start with something stupid easy (but useful) and building up to making an awesome PCB module you can't buy!

Ever wonder how electronics modules work or how you can easily make your own? See the attached image ;)

In my latest video I show how to find the latest high-tech chips from the big component companies or distributors, skim datasheets to find the "module schematic" hidden at the end, and turn crazy cool chips into PCB modules using just a few resistors and capacitors.

Why the Best Modules Don’t Exist (And How to Make Them)
