My CT125 is perfect for me and much more practical than most people realize!

I passed 1,200 miles today with mostly wide open throttle and the Trail is still running strong. Today’s trip ~70 miles round trip and clocked in at 84 MPG. I’m satisfied with the bike and looking forward to many more miles. I’ve made a few upgrades to manage engine heat, and the oil cooler has helped quite a bit. Check it out if you’re interested.

Love this simple setup from ‪@billysbikesbrews7183‬ Burgundy Siennas always catch my eye and an easy no build camper is always my favorite. Billy did custom make a few touch points that got me thinking about changing my setup. https://youtu.be/Ejt8YPECuqA?si=pk2cH...

This is the coolest Honda Element overlanding camping rig I’ve ever seen. It’s got a 3” lift with 30” tires and is capable of going almost anywhere. Sam shared his build on ‪@OverlandMiniVan‬ if you want to see it in action!

Some people think minivan camping is about survival in the wilderness. Honestly, I do it for the solitude. It gives me the freedom to get out, listen to the wind, and enjoy a break from everyday chaos. That’s what this trip was all about. https://youtu.be/MCormzsVK_I

The moment last weekend that I realized I completely forgot my dinner. Luckily I always have a few emergency supplies, but ramen just doesn’t compete with a nice steak for me. Well, I probably would have burned the steak anyway 🤣

Hopefully everyone is having a good week.

Feel free to share a picture of your last camping trip. I’d love to see what you’re up to.

Sometimes these comments get outa control. Glad Ben ‪@sempergumbie‬ can roll with it. https://youtu.be/n2zxnO0NSyw?si=oZl1c.... Couldn’t have had a better experience touring Gumbie Ranch.

It’s a work in progress. ‪@sempergumbie‬ built his dream off-grid cabin setup over the last eight months. The outhouse needs some work, solar panels installed, and a rain catchment system among other things. But, one thing is for sure and it’s that Ben and his dog Hoku are living a dream.

He shared the Semper Gumbie ranch with us for AGTV, check out the video https://youtu.be/BBPioKfNP5s

I’ve heard for years that catalytic heaters are the "safe" way to stay warm, but I wanted the actual data. I rigged the van with professional-grade oxygen and CO2 sensors to see exactly what happens in a sealed rig. The results? Honestly, they were a bit wild.

If you use a Wave 3 or any propane setup, you NEED to see how fast that oxygen disappears. Check out the full breakdown below so you can stay warm and stay safe.

I’m shocked with the air quality inside my minivan camper. I ran a full 24-hour data logging experiment inside my Toyota Sienna to track CO2, VOCs, and PM2.5 levels during real-world camping scenarios.

• Cooking with propane inside? 🍳 (Spiked huge)

• Sleeping with windows sealed? 😴 (Hit 5,000 ppm CO2)

• Idling the engine for heat? 🚗 (You won't believe this result...)

Check out the full breakdown and the graphs on my second channel, Overland Minivan.

I just toured a full-time rig that was built with ZERO power tools.

Vinnie lives in a 2024 Kia Carnival, and instead of a complex wood frame, he used a patio daybed he bought off the shelf at Home Depot. He kept the stow-and-go seats, used zip ties to level everything, and focused on the actual experience of traveling rather than the construction.

It’s stealthy, it’s simple, and it works.

If you’ve been stuck in "analysis paralysis" trying to design the perfect layout, this video is your permission slip to keep it simple.
