The Mark 10 Mission brings children to Jesus. Through our wonderful Celebrations of the Word videos, we help children encounter Jesus. Each time, we gather together to listen to the Word of God, to pray and to worship.
The Mark 10 Mission is a wonderful resource for teachers, parents, families and parishes who want to help children to pray and grow in faith. We share the Sunday Gospel in a way that helps children respond to Jesus and to grow in faith. We are Catholics and love to share our hearts for the Church, Sacred Liturgy and the Sacraments.
The Mark 10 Mission is created for everyone but we particularly hope to serve Catholic schools. Our prayer is that children can meet Jesus in their classrooms. With the help of our friends The Franciscan Friars and Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, we create amazing videos which bring the Gospel alive and inspire children to follow Jesus.

The Mark 10 Mission
"Heaven touches earth in your heart when you pray."
This Sunday, we celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Lent. In our videos, we meet Jesus on the mountaintop. There, he shines in glory just as he does in heaven. We invite children to enter a quiet space, away from the noise and distractions of the world, and meet Jesus on the mountaintop in their hearts.

The Mark 10 Mission
In our latest Mark 10 Mission video, we journey with Jesus into the wilderness. In the Gospel for the First Sunday of Lent Jesus is led by the Holy Spirit out into wilderness to be tempted. We help children to reflect upon this passage, pray together and begin the season of Lent with Jesus.

The Mark 10 Mission
In many places around the world, people celebrate Epiphany with a special tradition called “chalking the doors.” It is very easy to do. You take some chalk (it’s best if it has been blessed by a priest on Epiphany) and write above your front door:20 + C + M + B + 26
The letters C, M, B stand for the names of the three Wise Men: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar, who visited baby Jesus. They also stand for the Latin words Christus mansionem benedicat, which mean “May Christ bless this house.”
The + signs remind us of the cross, and the numbers at the beginning and end show the year.
This writing is a way of asking Jesus to bless and stay with everyone who lives or works in the home all year long.

The Mark 10 Mission
Gaudete is Latin for ‘Rejoice.’ This Sunday we light the rose candle on our Advent wreath. It is a symbol of the joy which comes from knowing that Jesus has come into the world.
God’s chosen people waited for centuries for the Messiah to arrive. They did not know when he would come or what his name would be… but we do.
At the first Christmas, God broke through the barriers of space and time to enter our world.
He came as a tiny baby, poor and helpless, born in the humblest of surroundings.
As we look to the rose candle, we can be filled with the joy of knowing that God came to earth so that we could know him personally.
Gaudete, gaudete!
Christus est natus
Ex Maria virgine,
Gaudete!
Rejoice, rejoice!
Christ was born
Of the Virgin Mary,
Rejoice!

The Mark 10 Mission
"I would like to invite each of you to listen carefully to God's voice in your heart.
Listen to his voice. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid.
Open your hearts. Open up your hearts to Christ.
The deepest joy there is in life is the joy that comes from God and is found in Jesus Christ, the son of God.
Jesus Christ is the hope of yours. He is my hope. He is the hope of the world."
St Pope John Paul II in a speech to young people in Los Angeles 1987.
In the Sunday Gospel, we hear Jesus speaking about great disasters and terrors that will strike the world. However, he encourages us to endure these times with faith.
This week, we particularly pray for children and young people, so that they can grow in love of Jesus. In the trials and challenges of life, He is the one in which all hope can be found.
Echoing the words of St John Paul II, may young people never be afraid to open up their hearts to Christ and experience the deep joy which he brings.
“By your endurance you will gain your lives.” Luke 21:19
