Howdy, y'all! There's aLWaYs something cooking here @ the Media Kitchen...& if you can't STaND the heat, then you know what to do: Just keep on dancing~{{;›}~Enjoy!!!
Always wondered what it is like to be a DJ in a nightclub? Well I wondered too, so I taught myself how to spin vinyl. I do not have any music degrees, but I figurred out how to separate my signals ( one signal was what everyone was hearing) and the other signal was what was coming up next. Keep those signals separated until you mix them together. A great mid will make the dance floor scream, and a bad mix (“a train wreck) will scatter your dance floor, everyone will look at their watch and decide wbether not to leave. It is all about those signals. In modern days, records are made in 2 ways, either a steady electronic beat (think of Georgia Mordor) or a live band beat( Aretha Franklin). These two styles can make or break your evening’s trip on the dance floor.
Here is my first story, I remixed video of Talk Talk's song, "It's my life", and I had over 750,000 views, and the record label pulled it out of publication for copywriter infringement. That happened after it was up on Youtube for 3 years, I was so hop[ing to get a million views, Oh well, life goes on.
Hello. I know many people would like to be DJ. It is fun being the leader of a bar full of dancing people. Kind of like the conductor of a train. My name is Jon Mott, aka Monjott. Way, and was a DJ/VJ for over 20 years. I started out at small clubs, and eventually worked my up to spinning tunes at the biggest dance club in Houston. Perhaps you hack heard of RICH’s. I would like to share my knowledge with others, as well as to share some of my favorite stories that happened to me along. The®e are many interesting stories in my career. I also won’t to share with you some tips and ricks that I have learned along the way. I am NOT a professional trained musician, just self-taught. But I have had a glorious life of so much fun that I believe I have many stories to tell, if you want to hear them. What I want to know is that if anyone besides my friends want to hear these things. I will continue writing these posts if I think that anyone wants to probably once a week. Thanks for your time and possible interest.
