☕✨ Today I repotted my two little Arabica coffee plants from Styrofoam cups into 4-inch clay pots. They’ve got cotyledons and three sets of true leaves — still a long way to go before I can brew my own cup, but that’s okay. Better someday than never!

Coffee is the first thing many of us reach for in the morning. But here’s the question we all need to think about as preppers: what will you do if coffee becomes unaffordable or scarce?

For me, growing my own food — and yes, even my coffee — is part of taking back control. Stocking up on coffee is one thing, but stocking up AND growing coffee plants is taking it to the next level🌱

Our 2 year old helped unpack and sort our order from ‪@modernneedsofficial‬ . We’re excited to add our new preps to each of our bugout bags.

This weekend our toddler also learned about tornadoes and practiced running to his nearest shelter-in-place location (his bathroom is a room without windows).

It’s never too early to teach the kiddos!
