I apologize for the lack of uploads lately. College and work have been very exhausting, and I've been doing my best to deal with burnout. I will start to upload more frequently. The plan is Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 12PM EST.
Unfortunately college is making it a little difficult to upload everyday. I am considering uploading 3 times a week. Is this something y'all would be okay with?
I have to say it has been such a motivation boost to see your engagement with my videos this month. This started as an experiment due to having a lot of footage lying around from video projects I scrapped. Truthfully, I always wanted to make video game review/essay content, however, after trying that for a period of 10 years, I found that type of content exhausting to make. Especially with my terrible efforts as a teenager, and efforts as an adult that took way longer than I thought it would. I came to the startling revelation that the content I enjoyed consuming the most on YouTube, was a chore to make myself. By no means am I trying to pass off the same cliché that YouTube is hard, but art is a process. I found myself in the new year sitting at my desk preparing for my 3rd semester of college with a hard drive loaded with video files just sitting there… menacingly. So, I decided to just schedule uploads of it, especially since other channels are starting to take off uploading just straight no commentary gameplay. Whether this is a result of people my generation or older looking up gameplay to relive their memories, or just that people find it exciting, I think I finally found out what you the audience want from me (hopefully). This channel has been directionless for most of its 10+ year existence, and I’m glad I’m delivering what you want. Please, look at my poll, or leave comments suggesting content. Seriously, without you I would have no audience.
One more post. I'm going to repost something my colleague ObsoleteQuality posted regarding our mod A Long Long Night. However let me state one thing before I quote his post. I am NOT trying to stir drama, or send an angry mob toward Donut Team. I've just been silent because making a video about this would be a huge pain in the ass. But the TL;DR is Donut Team states they are a welcoming community, however when one situation regarding deadnaming was handled poorly, the staff sat by and allowed the user who was deadnamed to harass me with passive-aggressive messaging. The moderators involved refuse to take ANY accountability and because of that whole shitshow I left the community, and had the staff delete my account. I didn't do this on a whim or in anger, I just felt there was no point in me speaking up. It all fell on dear ears. Considering Loren of Donut Team basically assumed I run the DTDownfall twitter and blocked my personal account. I do NOT run DTDownfall. When I say I cannot be fucked with a community I mean it. I'm starting driving school next month I don't have the time to criclejerk about a community that let me down.
"It has come to my attention that the link to the A Long Long Night mod for The Simpsons Hit & Run was removed from Donut Team.
You can now get A Long Long Night from any of these places:
Stoner Team's Modding page (I'm not affiliated with them in any way): stoner.team/modding.html Thomas Donofri's Discord: discord.gg/CzH2ruj9wg
There were multiple reasons for its removal from Donut Team. After the huge drama with the DT staff, Thomas Donofri, co-developer of A Long Long Night, replaced the download link with a stupid YouTube video from the original forum post. Thomas also posted a new download link (a real one) as a reply. Thomas got slack for the fake download (which I will say that he deserved it), and the staff removed it. They kept the real one from the reply for a while, but it also got removed. Thomas also requested ALLN to be removed from Donut Team's "Community Releases" page (just that page, not the forum).
Stoner Team is a small team of SHAR modders. There were at least two more teams, but pretty much everyone in the Donut Team community despised Stoner Team. Back then, I also really hated them. However, I've gotten in much better terms with them after the moderators went total ape shit on someone from the team. (I already complained about the moderators. Go to youtube.com/post/UgyeQtZ-... for the huge rant. Don't even get me started on the aftermath.) I don't know the exact reason for why the staff removed the real download link, but knowing the community's history with Stoner Team, I wouldn't be surprised if they removed it because of the mention of Stoner Team. If they couldn't be arsed to simply replace the fake link with the real one, then the bias really shows. I heard that people are allowed to share the link through DM's on Discord, but not anywhere on Donut Team. Since Donut Team are STILL censoring Stoner Team in community grounds long after what initially sparked the division between these teams (early 2021 or so, back when I hated Stoner Team), they're REALLY stuck in their ways. Fuck Donut Team. I can't believe people still support them after all the shit they've done. The moderators are so ignorant about their actions.
I'm going to keep losing my sanity if I have to bring up more Donut Team drama. I don't want to keep annoying my viewers with more of these posts."
If you're still a member of Donut Team as a community member I have no qualms with you, it is merely leadership refusing to take accountability and they continue to conduct themselves in very unprofessional ways. I don't lurk that server before anyone asks, I cannot be bothered to do that either. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
YouTube has blessed me with the COMMUNITY posts feature. I noticed creators tend to get discovered more through these. I can't tell you how many channels I never knew about had polls and stuff that appeared, I then checked out their content and saw good stuff.
So the question is... Are you subscribed to my channel?

NFS Carbon Online just released version 2727. It requires a new save file, so the Carbon Online LP is restarting.
