In light of recent events at Dinocon, the subject of AI generated content used in paleo art has once again resurface. I don't think there's anything I despise more in the current state of the internet than those AI slop plaguing every platform and every media. But it's especially disheartening when it touches my sacred ground that is paleo art. One of the reason I started making my own 3D dinosaur animations last year, was because I was so sick of seeing AI dinosaurs on my timeline, and I wanted to do a small part in combating it.

To be honest with you guys, because I am an adult who have been working in the art and graphic design industry for over 10 years, I already fear for the future that AI content is going to take over from many years ago, and there is nothing to stop it. Because the world is ran by greed, that's just the way it is, and AI generated images is just way too cheap and efficient that it ultimately won't matter what the artists who still have the respect for art say, the corporation pays the artist, and we need to eat too, but if they see that using AI is far more profitable than hiring artists, eventually they WILL. So artists either will have to learn how to adapt and use AI in their work, or find another profession, that most likely utilize AI in some way too.

As bleak as that may sound, I do think that there's hope for the Paleo art sphere, so long as people like me and you guys who appreciate TRUE human-made art still exist, and let our voices be heard. So long as we refuse to let corporate greed and soulless algorithm ruin the sanctity of prehistoric life, and the wonders of the natural world that is so much grander than our collective human existence in the first place.

This Sunday, July 26th, is the One Year anniversary of when I came back to this channel and started making paleo animations. What started as a passion project ended up becoming so much more, and it's all thanks to you guys who watched and enjoyed my artistic creations, and I am forever grateful. 365 days later, we have now reached 10.000 subscribers, and Pre-History is going stronger than ever!

Well it's definitely not an easy one to call, borderline impossible, but the first Sauropod to join the roster is the Andesaurus from Cretaceous Argentina! My depiction of this medium-size Titanosaur is also quite speculative, since the genus is only known by very few fragmentary fossils. But it doesn't take away from the beauty of this animal, a reminder that what we know of the prehistoric world today is still only the tip of the iceberg.

Catch the premiere of the animation in a few hours! It will also be my personal tribute to the late Sam Neill, and his iconic line, "They're moving in herds. They do move in herds."

Moving on to more exciting news, while still keeping Sam Neill in our hearts, my next animation is almost done and coming to the channel soon! It's been way overdue but finally, a Sauropod is joining the roster. This is a more obscure one and my design of it is also quite speculative, so I think it will be quite a challenge for anybody to guess what genus it is (outside of my Patreon members of course).

I didn't expect to start the week with the devastating news about the passing of the great actor Sam Neill. Like many people, Jurassic Park played a huge role in shaping my love of dinosaur and paleontology since I was a kid. And his portrayal of the iconic Dr. Alan Grant, the way he was awe-struct by the majestic dinosaurs before him, instilled with in me the same love for these magnificent animals. It's not a stretch to say that me and the work I do on this channel might have never existed if not for Jurassic Park, and Mr Neill's remarkable imprint on the movie and the franchise. Rest in Peace, Dr Grant.

I was going to make a post today to celebrate another milestone of the channel, but its only right that I dedicate it to Sam Neill. Nevertheless, since you guys are here, once again I'd like to express my gratitude for your support of my channel and helping it reach 10.000 subscribers. I have some more plans to mark this milestone, but for now, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

While my next animation project is still underway, tomorrow I have a fun little Timelapse video for you guys! It was meant to be released during June, to celebrate the Jurassic Park franchise, but due to circumstances I was only able to release it now. I know a lot of you guys only here for the animations, and that's totally fine, but I think you'll at least enjoy just the first 45 seconds of this video. Hope you check it out!

I know its been nothing but Outliers for a good month now, but I feel it would not be right for me to not address the outstanding number Outliers episode 2 have reached. 100.000 views, and still climbing! It has completely knocked the previous record out of the park, becoming my most successful video ever by a long shot!

The Albino Carnotaurus was one of my earliest ideas I got for an animation, and it just kept snowballing more and more until eventually the Outliers series concept was formed. I am forever grateful that so many people enjoyed and resonated with it, and it will be remembered as the series that truly gave my channel a proper identity. We are definitely not saying goodbye to Albino just yet, I decided that an episode 3 will eventually happen. But, for the foreseeable future we will be steering away from Cretaceous La Colonia, and Pre-History will continue to showcase others magnificent dinosaurs that roamed our planet.

Thank you so much once again for the love on Outliers, as we reached 9000 subscribers as well. And I hope you stick around for a lot more dinosaur goodness!
