The Cheese Goddess

Hey guys! I am a farmer and a cheese maker. I want to use this channel to help share my passion for cheese, cultured dairy products and other fermented foods. I also plan to explore traditional non-dairy fermented foods to share my love of fermented foods and to share alternatives for folks that do not eat dairy.

I am starting out with tastings as I learn how to do this! Mind, there will be some content in those tastings that will help beginner processors throughout with content related to third party labels, packaging, milk, food safety, equipment, process, makes, cultures, etc. I will also share tours of processing plants and farm shops/cheese counters as I share different products.

I plan to offer a lot more "getting started" information for both the enthusiast as well as beginning dairy processors. This will include business planning data and food safety resources.

#emotiotionalsupportcheese today is Fontina. I normally include in grilled cheese with a couple other cheeses but could not be arsed tonight. It was nice. Creamy with more depth of flavor than say Gouda or Colby. Suited my needs tonight.

Today, I am sharing my thoughts on Redwood Hill Goat Milk Plain Yogurt. I talk about details on the label, ingredients, cultures used, did I like it? The goal is to share thoughts on each of these to help both the consumer, but also give some details for people who plan to make dairy and/or fermented products themself.

Working on a pretty summer cardigan designed by ‪@OlgaPoltava‬ . Using this Viking Garn alpaca fine yarn I got at a discount last fall. Really enjoying the make.
