This tune by Roger Alan Wade has been on my song list for 15 years now and it’s just as beautiful today as it was when I first heard it at the age of 16. It weaves the tale of the real life events that happen after Gram Parson’s death and his body being stolen and burned in Joshua Tree National Forest as a promise kept by his road manager.
This tour has been a great reminder of why I do this. It has made me realize that when I get back home I have more creative projects in the studio than I ever have in my career. Inspiration with different avenues of writing and production have flooded my mind for weeks. I can hardly keep the ideas written down as quickly as they come. This has been the thickest creative spell of my life and I thought it had left me behind.
It also reminded me how important it is to get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. It doesn’t really matter what you do, how you creatively problem solve can be improved with a little bit of chaos. Do not fear change unless you want to become antiquated altogether. Every problem can become an opportunity if you allow it to.
We got Columbus, Detroit, Newport, Louisville, Knoxville and Pineville left for this round. What a dream this has been and what a way to end in my favorite region of the country I love. Thank you all for years of @lostdogstreetband support.
New album released 9 days ago. So thankful for the reception.
This is the first day YouTube has let me post on here. I will be releasing videos of unpublished original tunes, traditional tunes, how to videos and hillbilly tomfoolery on this channel so stay tuned.

One Labrador in tow and Hank Sr. Compact disc blaring.
