#MISSING: Utah Xtreme Cheer in West Jordan, is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing athlete and her mother who were last seen in Las Vegas.

In a social media post, the organization said one of its athletes and her mom did not arrive for competition and could not be reached. “This is not the post we ever wanted to make, but we need the cheer community’s help,” the post read. “At this point, we are extremely worried. Police have been contacted.”

A flyer identifies the pair as Tawnia McGeehan and Addi Smith. They were last seen Feb. 14 around 8 p.m. at the New York-New York Hotel in Las Vegas.

The team urged anyone with information to call or text 385-985-7249 immediately and to share the post widely.

Anyone who may have seen them or knows their whereabouts is encouraged to contact the family or local law enforcement
