I decided not to do a Mario Kart World review. I hate the game honestly, but there's so many videos talking about it and, I just want to make something positive so I'm just not gonna do it. It'll just be like 30 minutes of me whining about almost every aspect of the game, and that's not good content imo. The only good aspects is the new trick mechanics, and some of the tracks are good. But even so I feel like they're not mind blowing.

I got some enjoyment from World, the online update killed it but even before then I wasn't loving the game. The intermissions are boring and 24 players is just utter chaos, but in a frustrating way. Getting pelted by items and getting "Mario Karted" constantly isn't fun. I got close to 9100 vr online so I'm not bad at the game (quite the opposite), the game is just incredibly frustrating beyond anything I've ever played. And it's bleedin Mario Kart. It's supposed to be fun. Like, I feel like an idiot for getting angry at Mario Kart of all things haha. But dear lord is this game annoying. Over 100 hours in and it's finding new and exciting ways to screw me over.

As it is, it's my least favourite Mario Kart. Which is a shame cos it's pretty much the only reason I got the Switch 2 at launch. I kept playing the game hoping it'll win me over but eventually it just became an unhealthy dynamic, like some kind of Stockholm syndrome. I just don't have any fun playing it.

It sucks to see a franchise you love release something you hate. I think the game is ok offline and with friends, but most of the replay value is worldwide races and it just falls apart as soon as you play even remotely competitively.

Anyway, glad to be moving on from that game. Hopefully Bananza is great. I'm working on a "Every Version of DKC video" which I've been enjoying so, that'll be the focus going forward instead of Mario Kart.

Hey everyone! A new video is up! It's a weird topic which has never been talked about before and as such it's probably not gonna do super well numbers wise. But it's a video I had a ton of fun making regardless so I hope you check it out. Might be one of my favourite videos I've done.
